Barbara, you’re very welcome!

Nothing for me this week, but nest week I am already looking at 5.
It’s a sickness, I tell ya, a sickness.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Susy, well, I’m sure I’ll find something for you sooner or later!
Bek says
LOL, I get ya, Susy S! But isn’t it a GLORIOUS sickness, all things considered?

OOOOOOH! GOODIE! I just got excited enough about the Seafood Capers mysteries to scamper over to Amazon and order it for Kindle!
SIGH…I’ve decided to purchase an eReader, as much as I love print books, if only to let me preview new authors/series before committing to print books.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Bek, I hope you do enjoy the electronic reader! I know that I didn’t expect to like mine as much as I do.
Susy S says
Be very careful Bek!
I got an ipad a few years ago and added the kindle app. I also found a couple of web sites with free or VERY cheap books.
Since my whole list of e-book are ones I got for free, I don’t count these books in my TBR list because it would look even worse than it is since I have more unread e-books than print ones, and that number is bad enough!
If you do go that way, check out Bookbub and Robin Reads. I have found several new authors thanks to their free books.
Bek says
Thanks, Susy S! I already subscribe to BookBub, as well as a couple of others, but Robin Reads is new to me! I’ll get on their mailing list today. I do have the Kindle app on my laptop, but rarely use it, just because it’s very awkward. I think the eReader will be a boon.
Susy S says
If you don’t have a tablet, it probably will.
My first tablet that I put it on was the size of a paperback and that was great. My ipad is bigger, but also much heavier.
My goal for 2020 was to have fewer books on my TBR list at the end of the year than I did at the beginning. Currently, I have reached that goal, mostly because I can’t get out to my favorite used book stores. I fear than when thing open up and I can get to them, I may lose my mind and go overboard.
Bek says
Yep. I’m working from an Acer Aspire E-15. It’s a bit big. Not as large as some, but a full laptop rather than an iPad. Just no way to really get comfy with it in my lap! Probably because the cat is almost always there first, and she always wins the “who gets the lap” fight. Of course, the computer doesn’t have claws…it brings a hard drive to a “knife” fight…
Susy S says
I have a large Dell lap-top (can’t recall the model), a desk-top and an iPad. Now that I am retires (and especially since we are under stay at home orders), I have not taken the lap-top out of its’ case except to charge and run updates. I occasionally use the iPad when I am on the treadmill or stationary bike.
Mostly, I just like my real print books.
Stay safe.

Shredding the Evidence, a new book in the Cookbook Nook series by Daryl Wood Gerber is being released on 4/21/20. I only received a notice about it from Amazon last week and it looks like it might be self-published.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Janice, thanks for the heads up – I’ll have to add this one to the list.
rintaro says
The cover of every book by LynDee Walker in this series says it’s “A Nichelle Clarke Crime Thriller”. Where does “Headlines and High Heels” come from?
Danna - cozy mystery list says
I don’t know why, but the series name and all the covers were changed at some point.
