Yay to the third Electra McDonnell book I have been waiting for this! Although not really a cozy, it’s one mystery series that brings together many elements of the mystery genre that I love: spies, WW2, London during wartime, a budding romance. A carousel of characters in each book adds to the depth of the background of the story, as Ms. Weaver has painstakingly researched wartime conditions on the homefront in the UK.

Most of these are on my list to purchase as soon as they come out. I did receive an ARC of ‘Give Fudge a Chance’, which I finished last night and really enjoyed. I figured out some of the villains before the end, but there was one character I kept hoping was the bad guy, because I just don’t like him.

Hello, it’s been a long time since I posted a comment because I try to refrain from sounding stupid and with what I perceive the world doing to me things are not good at all. Having said this…I know of the film Dressed to Kill with that policewoman actor; Angie Dickinson, actress Nancy Allen, and actors Michael Caine and Keith Gordon. The movie was very good; one of the finest made as it teaches folks to keep their employment or else.
So, perhaps the book will be as good but in a different way since it is not about that film. Stay well and thank you for sharing.

There’s a new cozy mystery author out in the world. Her name is Judy Spoon Ertel and her first mystery is “A Fistful of Death”. It’s an Addie Girard Mystery series about a recently widowed woman living in a small town in Texas who finds herself involved in an murder investigation.
Her second book in the Addie Girard Mystery series will be out later this year titled “Any Which Aweigh You Die”. Hope you’ll check them out.
