DANA! This has GOT to stop! I evidently have no sense of proportion here whatsoever. I just added the Rita Mae Brown and Krista Davis books to their already-existing lists, AND added TWENTY SEVEN new books…the entire “Fear Familiar” series as well as the “Familiar Legacy” series by Carolyn Haines (et al).

Danna, Hopefully I am back to being able to once more responding to your cozy mystery blog. Gremlins got into my old computer and I had a heck of a time getting a new email account. I hope this new account works out !!
I have been able to bring your web site up on my new computer but I was unable to use my old email address account. Here’s hoping all this new stuff that I worked out to day works !!!

There’s a lot of May releases that are part of series that I’ve read, are on my TBR pile or are on my wish list.
“Flowers and Foul Play” from Amanda Flower’s new Magic Garden Mystery series and “Beyond the Pale” from Clare O’Donohue’s new World of Spies Mystery series both sound interesting.
Others that I would like to buy are: “Picks and Chews” (Linda O’Johnston’s Barkery & Biscuits Mystery series), “Bear Witness to Murder” (Meg Macy’s Shamelessly Adorable Teddy Bear Mystery series), “Magick Run Amok” (Sharon Pape’s Abracadabra Mystery series), “A Passion For Haunted Fashion” (Rose Pressey’s Haunted Vintage Mystery series) and “Murder with Cinnamon Scones” (Karen Rose Smith’s Daisy’s Tea Garden Mystery series).
Regarding Rose Pressey’s Haunted Vintage Mystery series…I still need the second and third books…”All Dressed Up and No Place to Haunt” and “Haunt Couture and Ghosts Galore”. I’d like new paperbacks, but I cannot find them anywhere (at least not for a reasonable price…I’ve found them for around $40 or $50, but I’m not paying that). I’ve looked on Barnes and Noble (out of stock on the website and in stores), Amazon (super high prices from third parties) and eBay, but to no avail. Does anyone have any suggestions? I’m wondering if these are out of print for some reason, which I find odd because I had no trouble recently finding new paperbacks for the first, fourth and fifth books in the series at the suggested retail price.

Melanie, sounds like a lot of upcoming books you’re looking forward to! Good luck finding both funds and time to read them!
As for suggestions for buying slightly older new paperbacks, I’m afraid I can’t offer much help… personally I either read Kindles or used books from Half Priced bookstores and the like these days.

I tried to order several of the hardbacks that show a preorder price of 12.99 (from this post). But when I clicked on them, they all were going into the cart at the full price. What was I doing wrong? Any help is appreciated.

Christina, I don’t see which hardbacks you’re seeing that have a preorder price of less than $20. Either way though, I don’t think I could help you much – hardcover prices are generally pretty high and I’d be surprised to find any as cheap as $12.99!
