Vickie, Don’t you just love it when an author you follow FINALLY puts out a new book!?! The authors you love>>>don’t seem to put them out fast enough… but the authors you don’t care for>>>seem to put two, three, or even four out each year. Where’s the justice?!

Danna, I don’t know who you are, but I want to thank you so much for compiling these lists! I had stumbled across your website a few years ago and bookmarked it on my computer, but then that computer became my son’s computer and I forgot all about your site. I was on his computer tonight and found it and I am so glad I did. I have spent a lot of time browsing through Amazon or publisher websites looking for new and interesting cozy series and you have, by far, the best website I have ever come across. Thanks bunches! 🙂

    Chris,

I’m certainly glad you found the site again! I was like you… I “spent a lot of time browsing…” trying to find more authors to add to my list of authors to try. And, this site has given me a whole lot more authors to try! I am so fortunate that site readers have sent me recommendations to add on to the list. The site seems to have had a sort of “snowball effect” (or should that be “affect”?)…

    Welcome back!

Danna: It drives me NUTS! I am torn between being glad that I have a chance to read other authors while I wait and being anxious for when that next awesome book will be in my hands!

I discovered your site several months ago and I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU! I have even "re-discovered" a few authors from years past that I have forgotten reading, and I am having such a good time catching up with all of their new releases. I am a dedicated cozy reader; my favorites are M.C. Beaton, Rett MacPherson, Jacqueline Winspear, Rhys Bowen, Carolyn Hart, and Sarah Graves. Your site has given me the opportunity to find new favorites, as well. I especially like the Amazon link; makes it easier to find and order new releases from your monthly page–a must-read for me each month. I have even recommended your site at my favorite boards. Please know your hard work is greatly appreciated!

    Hi Debra,
First of all, you are making me blush! Thank you for all of the kind words. I’m so glad you found the site. It looks to me like you and I share a few favorite authors. (I have to admit, though, I am not reading as much as I used to… before I became completely obsessed with this site!)
I know I have said this before, but one of the reasons I started the site was to put a place on the internet where people could find new authors… I was simply frustrated when I tried to follow the promises of cozy mystery lists, only to find a hand full of authors with whom I was familiar.
    Thanks, again…. Danna

Danna, I have just discovered your Cozy Mystery List and it is wonderful. Thank you for making it available. I was first introduced to "cozies" in the 70’s with Patricia Moyes delightful mysteries. I too have resorted to keeping lists of all books and series read so as not to repeat one that I had already read. I found a very good software program by Wakefield call "Book Bag" that I can put on my desktop and palm pilot so that I can now efficiently keep up with all the many many books I have read, would like to read, those out of print to find at used bookstores and those soon to be released (as I hear about them), etc. It has helped immensely. I noticed in your list that you had no authors under "U". You might check out Arthur W. Upfield, for those who like to haunt the "used bookstores" and enjoy the "thrill of a find!" He wrote in the 30’s & 40’s I believe, about two dozen, Inspector Napoleon "Bony" Bonaparte – half Australian Aborigini and half British Mysteries…and his mysteries take place all over Australia. A very very early "Hamish Macbeth" perhaps. 🙂 Please keep up your wonderful pages…I will visit them regularly.

    Hi Pat,

Patricia Moyes is one of my favorite cozy authors. Even though her earlier books are from over forty years ago, they just don’t seem dated to me…

The Book Bag sounds like an ideal way to keep track of all your books. I’ll have to google it sometime and take a look at it. Thank your for the author suggestion. I just added Arthur W. Upfield to my list of authors to do… I hope to get him done soon.

It’s great to hear that the site is being used by cozy mystery readers. Thank you!

Just thought I should say thanks for your work on this Web site. My favorite book store in Evanston, IL closed and I really miss the owner who used to always recommend books, remind me where a book fits in the series and even keep me from buying books I’ve already read (reissued with a new cover!) Your site is like shopping for books with a trusted friend who shares your cozy habit!

    Hi Kalena,

While I’m sorry that your bookstore closed, I’m glad you found the site. Thank you, I really appreciate your comment.
