I recently decided to try adding Cozy Mystery authors’ interviews as a semi-regular feature to the Cozy Mystery site. When I started thinking about this, I made up a tentative list of authors who I thought would be people from whom you all would enjoy hearing. I wanted to resume my author interviews with an author who you all have recommended many times on the monthly Cozy Mystery book recommendations lists. I thought best selling Laura Childs would be an ideal interviewee.
As most of you know, Ms. Childs is the author of three best selling series: the Tea Shop Mystery Series, the Scrapbooking Mystery Series, and the Cackleberry Club Mystery Series.
I want to publicly thank Laura Childs for providing this interview. I hope you all enjoy it!

P.P.S. I also want to thank the Cozy Mystery readers who helped me come up with the questions I asked Ms. Childs. Thank you!

Excellent interview, Danna! I’ve been eagerly awaiting this one. Very insightful questions and interesting answers. I recently discovered Alfred Hitchcock Presents and grew up on Twilight Zone reruns, so it’s good to know they inspired a wonderful writer like Laura Childs! (I will tell Mum that the next time she wants to know why I still watch all those “weird old shows”.

Donna Mc, I got so many great questions to ask Ms. Childs from many Cozy Mystery readers. (Thanks, again, all of you!)

Deb B, I’m sure that if I wasn’t already a fan of Laura Childs, I would be after interviewing her. And, what a lovely surprise when she offered to give away four of her mystery books.
Susie Calkins says
Great interview! My mother and sister have read all her books
She’s on my TBR pile too!

Susie, it’s really neat that all three of you read mysteries. I just bought my daughter the first in Childs’ Scrapbooking series. She’s moving to New Orleans and since Childs is so good at describing her settings, I thought it would give my daughter a feel for the city. (My daughter doesn’t scrapbook, but that shouldn’t make a difference.)
