Stash Empress says
Wow… So continuing with the discussion we had about this last week… on this list alone, there are 12 “must have” books for me — either because they are best loved series that I’ve been following or because they are new series that look just too good to miss! That’s not counting all the “looks good too!” books on the list! This would more than fill my reading time for the entire month— assuming I didn’t ALREADY have so many books on my Kindle & library books & etc.!!!! (btw, at this moment I have 7 library e-books on my kindle, 5 of which are MUST HAVE — brand new releases from MOST favorite authors!!! — and all expiring within next 2 weeks….!
LindaMH says
Thanks for the list, Danna. I’m looking forward to a LOT of these!! There goes the budget! LOL
Danna - cozy mystery list says
LindaMH, I hear you!
By the time I post some of my favorite authors’ new releases on the site, I have already bought them. My husband keeps trying to convince me to read one book, and then go on to add another to my queue, but I simply can’t resist some of my favorite authors’ new Cozies.
LindaMH says
Danna,
LOL!! My husband just shakes his head. I tell him he simply doesn’t understand.
PamB says
Oh my….so many new books the last couple of months. I’ve told myself ‘no more books’ until I reduce my ‘mountain’ but several are calling my name and I’m sure I hear Chet barking it also! Danna, many thanks to you for all the information you furnish to us. Also, thank you to all the readers for their favorite recommendations of which I’ve found several new favorite authors.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
PamB, I started the Cozy Mystery site way back in 2006 and have no idea why I didn’t start the monthly Cozy Mystery readers’ recommendation entries until 2012, at the suggestion of a Cozy Mystery reader. I love the recommendations, and I also have found new-to-me authors who I enjoy reading now.
As for Chet barking >>> I’m right there with you! As much as I love Chet, sometimes he makes me a little melancholy thinking about Sprite… (Iggy looks just like Sprite on the cover of The Iggy Chronicles.)
PamB says
Looked at the cover…… I can only imagine how you miss your Sprite and the nearness of him. When reading the Chet books I hope you also remember many sweet memories.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
PamB, I do! We used to personify for Sprite, so sometimes I hear Chet saying things that we would have definitely thought Sprite was thinking… especially when it comes to things like the breeze Chet feels when he wags his tail, or wanting to ride shot gun.
Scarlet says
Looks like the Donna Andrews book got bumped to August 4th. I’m not sure I can make it another month!
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Scarlet, I am going to have to go add “August 4” to the July list. Thanks for letting me know!
Janice says
While shopping this week I noticed that the second book in the garage sale series by Sherry Harris is out You have the new book on her page but not in the July releases.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Janice, thank you. I just added it to the June new releases entry.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Janice, and I just added it to July’s entry as well. Thank you!
