I have read Nancy Martin’s Our Lady of Immaculate Deception. It was a quite nice read. I will read the next in the series. I also loved her Blackbird series.
On the subject of new releases. I am excited, yet horrified that Jill Churchill’s next Grace & Favor mystery: Smoke Gets in Your Eye will be published on 15 July. I was very fond of both the Grace & Favor and Jane Jeffry series. But the last 2 books in each series were not very good for me.
I’m wondering if this will be a bad wrap-up like The Accidental Florist. Although, I’m hoping for greatness.

When I first read that you are looking forward to Nancy Martin’s next book in the series, I was afraid you were looking forward to reading Foxy Roxy… I wonder why she is re-releasing the Our Lady of Immaculate Deception as Foxy Roxy.

Hey I wonder the same thing. Why is Nancy Martin(‘s book) now known as Foxy Roxy ?!! What is with the name change? It would throw people off the path to think ohhh is this a new book ?
Ann says
Thanks for the list. I’ve got to work on my TBR pile – too many books, too little time . . .

Me, too! My book shelf is so full of books that I now have two bookends on the top of the shelf, in order to have another shelf to cram the books on!
(By the way, I love the cover of the new Jill Paton Walsh book… so reminiscent of the classic cozies…)

Thank you so much for this website. I love “cozy mysteries” and too often clerks in bookstores don’t really “get it”. I am a business consultant with limited time so your tips on good cozies is truly appreciated! k

I really liked the Blackbird Sister books but did not enjoy Our Lady of Immaculate Deception at all. I hope Nancy Martin writes at least one more book to wrap everything up with the sisters.
