Thank you and wishing the same for you. I have been celebrating by not laboring in any way except the moving of my eyes in reading and the moving of my lips in eating….ha
Danna, a couple of days ago I read that one of your favorite authors ‘Margaret Grace’ has finished a ninth book in the Miniature’s series – Matrimony in Miniature.
Camille Minichino is one of my favorite authors and have just one book left in the Periodic Table Mystery Series and the Sophie Knowles Mystery Series to read. I will have to check out the Miniature Series not that I need to add any more books to my TBR pile.
Pam B, that’s the whole purpose of Labor Day >>> Good think you didn’t labor! My husband and I have been dieting >>> well, I guess I should say I’ve been dieting and he’s been supportively dieting, so there wasn’t a whole lot of eating going on around here.
I have tried to track down the date for Margaret Grace’s Matrimony in Miniature, but haven’t been able to find it anywhere. I’ll keep looking for it.
I enjoyed Camille Minichino’s Periodic Table series so much that I whipped right through it, breaking my back-to-back (un)written rule. My daughter was out in Cambridge at the time I read the series, so when we toured the area, I looked for some of Gloria’s landmarks. I loved that series! (I am also hooked on Margaret Grace’s Miniature series.)
Fun Labor Day. Went to town to play golf. But, I live in an area of Calif. where there is much smoke from wildfires. Too much to be outside this a.m. So, I quilted for a few hours. The air cleared a bit this afternoon, so I enjoyed hitting balls in our backyard.
I just finished a cozy, “Sentenced to Death” by Lorna Barrett. I just now picked up a new one, “Murder on Mulberry Bend” by Victoria Thompson. In between I’ve read a couple other books, an autobiography “Seams Unlikely” by Nancy Zieman, and “Hunger Games” by Suzanne Collins.
Thank You, I hope you also had a wonderful, fun relaxing Labor Day. It’s so hot here in So Ca. that sitting in air conditioned pleasure reading X by Sue Grafton was a very nice way to spend my time.
Thanks, Pam B for the note. I too am a Margaret Grace Miniatures fan so I’m guessing on the Matrimony in Miniature. Any ideas stated on when it will release? I normally can’t afford to buy them and have to resort to requesting them from the library, which I have to do now.
I’ll try to get on Camille’s site to see if there is a release date or go on Amazon. I’ll let our readers know if I hear anything. I agree that Camille’s other series are great as well.
Rob, I went to her site and there is no information about the book. I will certainly watch for it, and post it on my Soon to be Released page as soon as I find out, that way you can beat the rush when placing your hold…
Danna and Rob, to me it looks like she just finished writing it. So it might be awhile as it goes through the process, whatever that is, after an author writes ‘The End’. Saw a picture of the last page on a Facebook posting several weeks ago.
PamB, thank you. I’ll keep looking for it. It should pop up soon. This is one of the few series I’m all caught up with. Well, almost all caught up. I’m waiting to read Manhattan in Miniature during the Christmas season. As much as I enjoy holiday Cozies, it’s difficult for me to wait until the appropriate holiday season. (I’ll probably read it in November, if I can hold off until then!)

Sierrapen, oh my gosh! Smoke from wildfires sounds absolutely awful. I’m glad it cleared a little during the afternoon, though.
I read Seams Unlikely, and was amazed at what a hard worker Nancy Zieman is!

Shirley, it sounds like we share the same weather! What did people in our parts of the country to before air conditioning?!?
