First off, let me say that I hope everyone has a fantastic, happy, and healthy 2022!
I’m also hoping that since Hallmark was able to make something like forty new Christmas movies to show during the holiday season that they will be able to make something like forty new mystery movies to show the other months of the year. It would be great if we are treated to… let’s say four new mystery movies in each of the other ten months! Here’s hoping!
I have only listed one premiere movie so far during January 2022 – but I have one more Sunday to add to this list (once the channel makes their schedule public). I don’t think it’s a mystery, but until I’m sure I have it listed on this entry.

Vickie says
Thank you for always posting cozy mysteries. I have been trying to record the Martha’s Vineyards Mystery Ships in the Night and because you put the day and time I was able to find it. Happy new year
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Vickie, you’re welcome! I’m glad you were able to find a program through this list.
Linda M says
Your list sounds wonderful. I am a fan of almost all of them. I do hope Hallmark will continue to make mystery series. It’s so nice to have recurring characters that you can look forward to and see what new adventures and trouble they get into.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Linda, I’m glad the list is useful! I agree that movie series are a great way to get some continuity between mystery stories.
Maggie A. Houchens says
I would love to see our cozy mystery favorites with Christmas theme movies for Christmas season 2022. Everything isn’t about romance. I like edge of seat entertainment during the holiday season.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Maggie, some Christmas-themed Cozies would certainly be welcome in the next holiday season!
Donna says
Presently reading Vicki delany. Books tea and treachery and murder in a teacup. Great books for Hallmark mystery. Also how about a movie series with Andrew Walker, Wes Brown and Paul Campbell as brothers who are undercover detectives? Change the story line from always a man and woman as the lead.. They would be great…. well loved and are the real hallmark actors. Devoted to Hallmark..
.
Thank you.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Donna, that would definitely be a different sort of show than Hallmark usually puts out – which might be a good thing!
Dot C. says
I love the holiday Hallmark movies, but can’t wait for the mysterious to begin. There are usually a few that I’ve missed over the years and this is one way that I get to catch up and record that special one that brings the others together, I also read the Aurora Teagarden books so I get to see how the books have been written into the TV shows. Tks for the list
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Dot, you’re welcome!
Pam Walker says
I am just so thankful to see the mystery series again, even if they are, for the most part, repeats. I like the occasional holiday movies but not 24/7 for over 2 months!
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Pam, it’s definitely nice to be getting back to mysteries, even if there aren’t always a lot of new ones!
Pam Walker says
I did see an advertisement today for a new Aurora Teagarden mystery in February.
Vickie L says
There’s a new movie called cut color murder coming out February 6th on hallmark movies and mysteries. It’s a new series. I am trying to help out.
Bootsy A says
I am so glad Hallmark brought Murder, She Baked back! This is one of my favorites! I am also glad that the Aurora Teagarden are still going, I hope they continue for years to come! I am saddened that the Hailey Dean Mysteries are over…those too were a favorite. Although there hasn’t been a new Darrow & Darrow for a feelw years, I am still holding out hope! I LOVE the mysteries! Thanks for continuing them! Looking forward to what is coming this year!
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Bootsy, while I’m not responsible for Hallmark’s programming (I just summarize what I find personally interesting), I certainly agree that it’s always good to hear these sort of series continuing, and disappointing when they end.
Alan O'Reilly says
Totally agree, Donna. I miss Fixer Upper Mysteries. I wonder if Hallmark and/or other movie corporations in that vein have ever carried out a survey of viewers’ preferences, including potential subplots and/or spin-offs*.
Likewise I agree with others who have indicated a preference for the Mystery themes. Performers in that genre seem to be in their element. Candace Cameron Bure with Niall Matter, Danica McKellar with Victor Webster and Lacey Chabert with Brennan Elliott are some examples.
*I’d love to see a spin-off from Crossword Mysteries Abracadaver with Kaitlyn Leeb as Bianca in the lead female role. She’s an expert illusionist so the bad guys would have a tough time deceiving her. She’d need a helping hunk, of course. Steve Lund, Chris McNally or Michael Rady come to mind.
Rebecca G. says
Thank you so much for this list! I hope they continue to make mysteries! They are even better than their romance movies. New to your site, cant wait to look around
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Rebecca, you’re welcome! I’m glad that this sort of post is helpful.
SAndy says
I love all the mystery programs.. I do get tired of all the Christmas shows being romance.. It would be nice to have some Christmas in our mysteries.. I love the Hannah Swenson series and Aurora Teagarden, I live where that beautiful Falls is located..
Thank you for all the great mysteries.. Keep them coming
Alan O'Reilly says
To UK viewers, if one of your fav mystery movies comes up on Channel 5, I suggest record it even if you have already recorded it on Movies24 if you have Sky.
Movies24 cuts segments out for additional advert time that C5 retains. I found that out today by comparing the same movie recorded on both channels.
I guess Netflix enables you to avoid that problem.
