I recently read a mystery that took place in New Orleans about a young woman from, I think, Boston,who inherited a house on the coast of Louisiana from her best friend who died of cancer. She was also made guardian of her friend’s daughter. I can’t remember the name of the author. Does anyone know?
Jan, we usually have pretty good luck identifying mystery authors who are mysteries to the people asking. I hope someone can come up with the correct answer! (And I’m sorry it has taken me so long to post this.)

Danna, I do think you did ask about this a while back. That novel was by a wonderful author: Karen White wrote this book ” Beach Trees”

Paula, thank you! And, good grief on me! It didn’t even look vaguely familiar. I usually delete the questions/comments from my blog entry idea page right as I post them. The funny (?) thing is that I actually started another entry at the same time but it looked familiar. I checked on the post search >>> and sure enough, I had done that one.
Old dogs learning new tricks is one thing, but apparently this old dog can’t remember what she already knew! YIKES!
