It’s been quite some time since I added new authors to the site… well, there won’t be any major site releases this week, so I thought today would be a good day for that!
Esme Addison is originally from Raleigh, North Carolina, and she’s returned there after a long stint away in various locations such as New York and Japan as a military spouse. She has spent much of that time in writing, both as a technical writer and as a professional in the publishing industry. Her series, the Enchanted Bay Mystery Series, stars another North Carolina native who is returning home to help work at her family’s business in herbal remedies.
Eve Calder is a Florida native. Her series, the Cookie House Mystery Series, stars a Manhattan native who is starting over as a baker’s assistant in Coral Cay, Florida.
Alexis Morgan is a graduate from the University of Missouri, St. Louis, with a bachelor’s in English. She is the author of many novels, mostly in the romance and paranormal genres, with only one Cozy Mystery series, the Abby McCree Mystery Series, which stars a recent divorce inheriting a rundown estate from her deceased aunt – with at least one body buried on the premises!
Holly Quinn is a graduate from the Carroll University in Wisconsin with a Bachelor’s in Science. She is the author of the Handcrafted Mystery Series, starring a woman returning to her hometown in Wisconsin to take over a craft shop.

A Spell for Trouble was so good! And I really do like the Holly Quinn Handcrafted Mystery series. The first one was a bit rough, but each subsequent book has gotten better.

Aymee, thanks for the recommendation! I’m glad that there are a lot of people interested/already reading the new authors.
Rob J says
Dear Aymee,
I was considering trying to read this one. How many are there in this series?
Robyn says
eeee!!! New authors!! Thank you! for giving us new authors to follow! There look to be some of my interests in the cozy mysteries.

Robyn, you’re welcome! It’s been too long since I added new authors.
Susy S says
These all sound good. I’ll have to pick-up one when I can finally get out again.

Susy, here’s hoping we can all get out there sooner rather than later!

I love the series by Eve Calder and Alexis Morgan. They are both on my keeper lists. Very enjoyable additions to the genre. The next A. Morgan will be out in January, the 4th in the series. The third in E Calder’s will be out in April. I would like to mention another new cozy series, paranormal, with a great ghost. HAUNTED HOMICIDE by Lucy Ness. A very fun read. The 2nd on will be out in March. As a long time mystery reader, whenever the author’s bio states that she or he writes other series, I have to try and track them down! It turns out that Lucy Ness is also Kylie Logan, Casey Daniels, Miranda Bliss and others. I’m getting to old for all these pseudonyms!

Robin, thanks for the recommendation! It’s always a bit hard keeping track of so many pseudonyms – it would sure be easier if authors could just release all their books under a single name.
Beth Schuster says
Thanks for sharing!! I was running out of books to read.

Beth, you’re welcome!

Glad to see these awesome ladies added to the site. Holly Quinn is releasing a series under Holly Danvers next July, Lakeside Library Mysteries, first of which is Murder at the Lakeside Library releasing 7/13/21 in case you wanted to link both her names on the site.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Tari, thanks – I’ll have to add that pseudonym to the site as well!

I do not recall how I found out about Esme Addison, but I AM always happy to read a Witchy or Psychic themed Cozy Mystery. “A Spell for Trouble” was published in May, 2020, so I think I need to wait for it to come out in mass market paperback.
The second one is titled “A Hex for Danger.” According to Amazon.com it is scheduled to be published on July 13, 2021, but I was a bit concerned to see that it is listed as (Book) 2 of 2 of the “Enchanted Bay Island Mysteries.” I would much prefer this be an ongoing series, as opposed to a duology.
Looking at the others, seeing Eve Calder’s “Cookie House Mystery Series” sounds like a great reason to buy cookies and milk!

Tarot, sounds like we’ve got some good books to look forward to for these authors! I wouldn’t be too worried about the “2 of 2” labeling – that’s pretty standard for Amazon, and will become “2 of 3” quickly if the author releases information on another upcoming novel in the series.
