Four New-to-the-Site Cozy Authors

I’m adding four more new authors to the site. As usual, these are authors I’ve heard of from visitors to the site, either through comments or by email.

 Alison Golden was born in Bedfordshire, England, though she now splits her time between London and San Francisco, California. She coauthors most of her works, writing the Reverend Annabelle Dixon Mystery Series with Jamie Vougeot, starring a vicar in Cornwall, the Inspector David Graham Cozy Mystery Series with Grace Dagnall, starring an investigator on the island of Jersey, one of the Channel Islands off the coast of the United Kingdom, and the Diana Hunter suspense mystery series with Gabriella Zinnas.

Though she now spends most of her time in California, Leslie Karst has lived in areas as varied as Ohio, South America, Mexico, and Oxford, England. An attorney for twenty years, she also has a degree in culinary arts. She writes the Sally Solari Mystery Series, starring the manager of the front of an old-style Italian eatery owned by her family, and likewise an ex-lawyer, living in Santa Cruz, California.

Gigi Pandian graduated with honors from Pitzer College and spent time working on a PhD at the University of Edinburgh, the University of Washington in Seattle, and the University of Bath in England. She decided she preferred art to academics before completing it, and instead pursued an education at art school. She is the author of the Jaya Jones Treasure Hunt Mystery Series, starring an archaeologist/historian/adventurer, and the Accidental Alchemist Mystery Series, starring an alchemist in Portland, Oregon.

 Linda Reilly has a degree in Criminal Justice, and has had a career as a real estate agent. She was born in the Berkshires in Massachusetts, and now lives in New Hampshire. She is the author of the Deep Fried Mystery Series, which stars Talia Marby, a worker at a family owned fish and chips shop in the Berkshires of Massachusetts.

  1. I have discovered a new cozy series. I am reading the first book in the series and am loving it. I will definitely put this series on my list of must-read books. The author is J.C. Eaton and her series is A Sophie Kimball Mystery. I am reading Booked 4 Murder and the back of this book as a “teaser” for the next one Ditched 4 Murder coming in December, 2017.

  2. Absolutely love Linda Reilly’s Deep Fried series! A really fun series, glad you added her to the list? Am anxiously awaiting the next in series. Also a question, does anyone know if Paige Shelton will be doing anymore books in the Country Cooking series? One of my very favorites!!

  3. I’ve read the Jaya Jones Treasure Hunt series by Gigi Pandian. These books are well written and very entertaining. I’ll have to check out the other authors. Hope you have a great day, Danna!

  5. So excited about these as I love to hear about authors that I haven’t read before! Three of the four have been placed on my “must read” list alongside of so many others! Thank you for these and for the ability to print the authors and their series pages because I have a nice little three-ring binder full of my favorite authors and “new finds” that goes with me to my local library (thank goodness for hold requests but mostly for the outstanding work our libraries do!!!).

  6. Thank you again for this site! I depend on you and especially since authors not on your list are really risky reads lately. Seems the authors, or maybe the editors, throw profanity, sex and unecessary brutality into the murders on every page. Thanks, so much!

  9. There is a website that I found called Save Our Cozies that listed a bunch of authors whose series were in danger of or were discontinued. It was from last year, but it appears to be accurate. Paige Shelton’s 2 series with the cooking school and the farmer’s market are casualties, along with 10-15 of other series that I read! Thank heavens Victoria Hamilton found a new publisher for Leave it to Cleaver and Leigh Perry will be out with The Skeleton Paints a Picture in Oct.
