April has been a weak month for Cozy mystery news… I only have one Cozy Mystery announcement to pass along, though at least it is a pretty big one.
Janet Evanovich will be releasing four new novels, across a number of series – first, she will be putting out two more Stephanie Plum novels, one of which will be titled Fortune and Glory, breaking her tradition of including the entry number in her titles (this would be entry 27). She will also be putting out another in the Fox & O’Hare Mystery Series with her son, Peter Evanovich, bringing the series to at least six entries. Finally, she will also be starting an as-yet unnamed spin-off series.

I always look forward to Janet Evanovich’s series. I have read all her Stephanie Plum Series and enjoy her Fox & O’Hare series. If she writes a new series I will read that too.

This is great news! I love the Plum books and really enjoy the Fox and O’Hare series, too (the Knight & Moon are okay, but not my faves). A new series sounds like fun, too. Thanks. 🙂

Amy, I find that I have kind of lost interest in Stephanie, but really like both Fox & O’Hare and Knight & Moon. I admit that Knight & Moon is offbeat enough not to appeal to everyone.

Susy, I can totally understand that. After what, 27 books, it does get a bit predictable. It’s not so much the offbeat nature of the Knight and Moon books but more that I don’t feel like they click as well as Kate and Nick do. However, I still read them because they’re still enjoyable. And each book does get better. 🙂

Sheila, it certainly is odd to change it, but I suppose coming up with ways to integrate the latter “20s” number into titles might be more effort than it is worth.

Hmmmmmm…Let us know when the new series has a name! I loved the early Stephanie Plum books, and a fresh new series might just get me excited again! She is an excellent writer, overall!

Agreed. I am really looking forward to the Fox& O’Hare and the Knight & Moon books.
I wish she would do more of the Lizzy & Diesel Wicked books. Those two are a lot of fun.

That’s were I am with several authors. They look really good and I would like to add them to my list, but I already have more than 1000 books to read. Even if I were to read 200 per year, I still have 5 years worth of reading, and that doesn’t include the new books by my MUST READ authors.
It is a sickness. Truly an addiction.
