I love the last three entries, not yet read the first series listed. I love both coffee and tea, though can only drink tea these days, dislike chemical changes in the bod..dagnabbit….I love learning about both brews, too. And then there are the groovy mysteries to enjoy.
Dennis says
There are themes for a lot of things. If you are a mystery reader (and I am), you are bound to find something you like.
Violette says
I just finished Laura Childs’ Oolong Dead and it was fabulous. She is a new author to me.
Kris Hancock says
I love her tea shop books, I wish I could find more like her!!
Linda Lee Alonzo says
Me too….
Teresa says
I absolutely enjoy Laura Child’s books! Oolong Dead is a favorite. I am now working on the library’s latest from her, The Teaberry Strangler.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Teresa, isn’t it great when you connect with an author’s personal style? I have several authors who I absolutely cannot wait to read. I hope your library has her latest Tea Shop mystery…
Monica says
Do you know of any cozy mysteries that have their heroines camping or backpacking?
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Great idea for a theme, Monica! Let me ask in an entry… Cozy Mystery site readers are great about sharing information…
Rabia says
Wendy Lyn Watson is releasing her 3rd “A La Mode” mystery called Parfait Murder and I think it’s scheduled for a June 2011 release
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Thanks, Rabia, for the Wendy Lyn Watson update. I just added it to my working list of June mystery book releases.

How is a person supposed to stay at a healthy body weight and read all of these books that have eating as a topic!!! Yea gads! But keep writing, these are good books!!!
Danna - cozy mystery list says
I know, Linda. Some of the descriptions of the food make me crave a Little Debbie cake, which are things I do not bring into the house…
StephanieM says
Cleo Coyle was one of the first cozy mystery writers that I began reading and following several years ago. I love her coffee house mysteries, and I have learned quite a lot about the world of coffee from her books. She is one of the authors, along with Maggie Sefton and Joanne Fluke, that have inspired me to try my hand at writing my own Cozy Mystery series.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Good luck, Stephanie M, with your writing endeavors.
Ruth says
Thanks for the list; there are a couple mentioned i’ve not seen. How about series that involve the shop owners of knitting, quilting, and such?

I see you do not have The Tea Room Mysteries- a new series from Guidepost (christian theme). The first three books are Tearoom for Two, To A Tea, and Tea Rose. That is all I know. Thanks. Love this!!
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Thanks, Tracy, for telling us about Guideposts’ Tea Room Mystery Series. (I’m sorry, but I’m not able to find any of them.)
Tracy says
This is a brand new series. I just received info to order in the mail in the last month. Looking forward to this!!

Tracy, please keep us posted about Guideposts’ new Tea Room Mystery Series.

I have read many of Susan Wittig Albert’s mysteries…which are wonderful. An herb shop along with a tea shop theme…very good reading. Takes place in the Texas Hill Country.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Kittenmom, thanks for the Susan Wittig Albert shout-out. Her China Bayles mysteries are consistently good reads!
Rhonda says
I adore your site and have found many new series/authors on here. I wanted to share a new author/series that I just discovered on Amazon – and I haven’t seen you list her here. The name is H.Y. Hanna and she writes the Oxford Tearoom mysteries. Very cozy. Set at Oxford University, in England, present time. Sadly no recipes are included but it does make you hungry!
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Rhonda, thanks for the suggestion! I’ll take a look at her some time, though the list of authors to add to the list is very long!
Mary Lally says
I just finished reading H.Y. Hanna’s first book in the Oxford Tea Room series — A Scone to Die For. I am now stocking up on book 2 through 6 plus Book 0 which is the prequel. I enjoyed the author’s writing style. I loved that I did not spot any typos (I have my kindle set to the largest font so typos jump off the screen at me). The characters were all interesting and you want to see what happens next. And Gemma Rose, the protagonist is human, not perfect, trying to make a new life for herself. I can relate.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Mary, thanks for the suggestion! I’ll have to check out Hanna’s series some time.
Eil says
I just finished reading the first book (A Scone to Die For) and really enjoyed it.
Carole says
I love H. Y. Hanna’s books! I’ve read all 10 (so far) books in her Oxford Tea Room series. Her characters are well developed and endearing. Gemma always has to sort out the mayhem that the Old Biddies and Muesli, the cat, cause while trying to solve crimes. I also enjoy her Bewitched by Chocolate series. She just started an English Cottage Garden (i don’t remember the exact name) series. Hanna is delightful and her books are well worth reading!
Kathryn L. says
Must say I enjoy reading about Cozy Mysteries! Had no idea the genre was so popular. You’ve done an excellent job keeping up with new releases, sorting and categorizing the themes, authors, locations… and book reviews…there are so many from which to choose! You’re doing a great job, give yourself a pat on the back!
Thanks for all your hard work!
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Kathryn, thanks for the kind words! A bit of encouragement can go a long way – and it is a lot of work doing this so I certainly appreciate it when people find it useful!
Cheryl Hargraves says
Great list. Came back today to look for a new tea series to try out.
Other tea room cozy series:
Wisteria Tearoom Mysteries by Patrice Greenwood (A Fatal Twist of Lemon is book 1)
Daisy’s Tea Garden Mysteries by Karen Rose Smith (Murder with Lemon Tea Cakes is book 1)
A Tea and Read Mysteries by Joy Avon (In Peppermint Peril is book 1)
Joan Brausch says
Hi, I “lost” an author, as in I cannot remember her name or titles of her books. The main character arrives in a small seaside village in England(?) having left her former life behind. She decides to open a shop. She meets a local woman who befriends her and a cheese farmer/producer with whom she thinks she could have a relationship. There are murders and mysteries to be solved. Help?
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Joan, hmm, I’m afraid that one doesn’t ring any bells – it oculd be a number of things, aside from the cheese producer… I’ve put it in a post on the front page, though, so possibly someone else will be able to help.
Juliette says
My favorite subgenre of cozies 😁 There’s something extra special about tea, coffee, and mystery mingling together. It’s like they’re made for each other!
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Juliette, it certainly is a strangely calming mix!
Linda L says
Tonya Kappes has a coffee shop cozy series that’s wonderful!
Polli Turner says
Ellie Alexander does a series about a bakeshop/coffee house in Ashland, Oregon. I found them interesting and clean!
