Danna, The Francis Brody series really looks intresting.
Have you ever noticed the violence in the different places: ex. Vintage clothing stores, catering seems to have a lot of murders. Cup cake makers, soup makers, even dog shows. It’s a violent world out there.
Seems like we should all stay home but WAIT!! There are a lot of murders inside the home, too.
Just teasing!!

Terrific point, Linda! Who would have thought so many cupcake eaters were in so much danger?!?

Ginger, the list of books you want that you are making up to take to your niece’s house must be getting very long!
ginger says
Danna it is. I am going next week. School starts back Aug. 16th and I will have alots of books to read. Right I am redoing my bookcases with a new system of how I record books as I buy them and bring them into the house. I will still use my old system but add this new one to it. It will take a while to do but I am rediscovering old favorites as I work.

I hope you have a great time, Ginger, and find a lot of book bargains!

I need to organize my bookshelves too. What kind of system would you recommend? Right now I have no system so any suggestions would be appreciated.
Barb Goffman says
I think the first book in the Duffy Brown series doesn’t go on sale until October.
Duffy Brown says
Hi, Barb.
Yes, Oct 2 is the release date for Iced Chiffon. It’s the first book in the series. Thanks for posting and have a good week.

I love that you keep up with all of this stuff. Thank you for doing so.

FABR Steph, you’re welcome. I have SO many authors I need to post to the site…

Danna, thank you for adding to my “tbr” list! I picked Connie Archer, Diane “Duffy Brown” Castell and Peg Cochron/Meg London. My “new thing” is to check out the Author Websites before buying the books. The sites help me decide if I will like the book or not. All the books take place on the East Coast, which is my preference, and a couple are in New England, which is even better. All tho the Duffy Brown is set in Savannah which is my favorite vacation destination and the most beautiful southern city I have been to. All three gals are American Authors which is really important to me and after reading their bios their personalities seem great. When I like the author I like the book. I am excited to purchase the books and check them out.
Without the site I am not sure I would have found these new-to-me authors.
Margaret says
I just pre-ordered three books, woohoo!. The cover art on all three is great (another one of my “decision making tools” lol). I am really looking forward to reading them.

Margaret, the cover art is really important to me as well – when checking out new-to-me authors.
linda says
Me too Danna, The cover art is the one thing that will get me to pick up a book by a new-to-me author.
Duffy Brown says
Thanks, Margaret. I love the cover for Iced Chiffon. An author never knows what the publisher is going to come up with. We have no control over that one. Just one day the cover ends up in your email. Kind of scary. LOL

Margaret, I hope to see some of these authors on future monthly recommendation entries!
