I’m sorry, but $4.99 is not inexpensive … at least it isn’t for me. Most of the books were $4.99. Sigh. Retirement budgets are for the birds.

Joan, Check out Bookbub.com. They usually have a good selection of cozy mysteries and they range from free to about $2.99. I have acquired well over 1000 books for free. Early this month Pam also recommended another site, which I can’t remember right now, that has a lot of free and truly inexpensive books.

I want to recommend Bill Crider’s Sheriff Dan Rhodes series. The first book is Too Late To Die from 1986 (available on Kindle) to the latest in 2016 Survivors Will Be Shot Again. A great cozy series of small town Texas life. Dan and his wife are a great couple and have others around them who are fun and add to the stories. Bill Crider writes and old fashioned story – less than 250 pages. I have enjoyed every one. So many cozies are estrogen fests with the heroine wronged by men . It is nice to find a strong male hero – with a little help from his friends.
