Happy Thanksgiving

November 23, 2017

We just got back from visiting our daughter in Washington, D.C. – after visiting my brother in Colorado Springs. It’s been a busy month for both my husband and me!

This year I decided that rather than stand in the kitchen all day long cooking, I would treat myself to a day of heating prepared casseroles that I bought at various stores. Our son will be coming over for the meal, so I’ll be able to visit with him – instead of rushing around in the kitchen. Ya-hoo!

I hope all of you are able to enjoy this day of giving thanks.

The Jury’s In… or Should I Say Out?

June 20, 2013

I’m not sure how I feel about this, but I wasn’t selected to sit on a jury yesterday. It is the second time that I actually got named as a possible, but it’s also the second time that the parties were able to determine a deal before the voir dire process began. On the one hand I’m glad that I won’t have to drive to and from downtown every day during the two rush hours, but I’m sort of sorry I won’t be part of the judicial process.

(Not at all related to being on a jury >>> It was nice coming home and finding that my husband had missed me!)

Hallmark Movie Channel: Perry Mason Marathon on Presidents’ Day 2012

February 20, 2012

I hope you all are off from work and enjoying Presidents’ Day.

I want to pass on what Jennifer told me in an e-mail: A Perry Mason movie marathon will be running all day (today) on the Hallmark Movie Channel.

(Also, I just looked at the line-up on the Hallmark Movie Channel, and they are showing two Matlock mystery movies next Sunday – February 26 –  followed by an all-day marathon of Murder, She Wrote mystery movies.)
