This month, I have three pieces of good news to share about site authors!

First, Julie Anne Lindsey   (aka Jacqueline Frost, Julie Chase, & Bree Baker) will be starting a new series, the Beaumont Brothers Mystery Series, which will feature a rural family works together to both help the community and help the law. The series has already been approved for four entries! Lindsey is the author of many series, including the Cider Shop Mystery Series and the Seaside Cafe Mystery Series.

Next, Leslie Budewitz will be putting out at another book in her Spice Shop Mystery Series, which will take the series to a total of seven. One which will be a Lunar New Year holiday release, and like the rest of the series will feature Seattle Spice Shop owner Pepper Reece. Budewitz is also the author of the Food Lovers’ Village Mystery Series.

Finally, Edith Maxwell (aka Maddie Day & Tace Baker) will be starting the Cece Barton Mysteries under the name Maddie Day, which will star Cece Barton, a wine bar manager in a fictional wine country town near San Francisco. Maxwell is the author of the Local Foods Mystery Series, the Quaker Widwife Mystery Series, and the Country Store Mystery Series, among others.

I’ve got a couple of good pieces of news for you  about established site authors!

First, Maddie Day (aka Edith Maxwell & Tace Baker) has been asked to write at least two more books in the Country Store Mystery Series, which will bring the series to at least 13 entries – it will be a while before either is released, though, with possible estimates for each of the new entries in 2024 and 2025.

Second, Maria DiRico (aka Ellen Byron) will be putting out a fourth entry in her Catering Hall Mystery Series, which will be titled Four Parties and a Funeral. I’m sure there are a lot of site readers looking forward to this continuation – actually, I wrote about this series very recently!

It’s another relatively thin month for Cozy mystery news… I only have one piece of good news to share with you all.

Christine DeSmet will be releasing two more in her Fudge Shop Mystery Series, one of which will be titled Holly Jolly Fudge Folly – which seems very likely to be a Christmas entry! That will bring the series to a total of six entries starring Ava Oosterling, the owner of of a fudge shop in Wisconsin.

I’ve got one piece of Cozy Mystery news by an established site author…

Susan Furlong will be releasing what looks like a stand-alone novel, titled The Killer’s Wife.  in this novel, a parole officer will be investigating the wife of an accused killer, in attempt to learn where the accused is hiding. Furlong is the author of the Georgia Peach Mystery Series, the Bone Gap Travellers Mystery Series, the Pippi O’Brien Mystery Series, and (as Lily Arlington) the A Novel Idea Mystery Series.
