Cozy Mystery (and Other Favorite) Books, Movies, and TV
Here is the list of new releases for October 18 to October 24!
Donna Andrews: The Twelve Jays of Christmas (This will be the 30th in the Meg Langslow Mystery Series.)
Jess Lourey: Litani (This will be a stand-alone non-Cozy thriller.)
Spencer Quinn (aka Peter Abrahams): It’s a Wonderful Woof (This will be the 12th in the Chet & Bernie Mystery Series.)
David Rosenfelt: Best in Snow (This will be the 24th in the Andy Carpenter Mystery Series.)
I’ve got three pieces of good news about upcoming releases by established Cozy Mystery authors!
Next up, Maria DiRico (aka Ellen Byron), will be continuing her Catering Hall Mystery Series with at least a fourth entry in the series confirmed. Good news for readers who were disappointed that the Cajun Country Mystery Series has come to an end!
Finally, Amanda Flower (aka Isabella Alan) will be starting a new series, the Emily Dickenson Mystery Series, starring the actual poet solving mysteries in 1850s Massachusetts, narrated by her fictional maid. The first entry will be titled Because I Could Not Stop For Death. Flower is already the author of the Farm to Table Mystery Series, the Amish Candy Shop Mystery Series, the Magical Bookshop Mystery Series, and the Amish Matchmaker Mystery Series, among others.
November won’t be as busy for holiday-themed Cozies as October, but there will still be a few Christmas-themed Cozies to look forward to!
First, Emily Brightwell: will be releasing the 40th in her extremely long-running Mrs. Jeffries Mystery Series, Mrs. Jeffries and the Midwinter Murders. The Christmas season is approaching for Mrs. Jeffries and Inspector Witherspoon, but a week before Christmas, a locked-room murder case turns up and threatens to end the holiday season early. The case becomes even more confounding when it become apparent that the victim’s sister may also have been murdered as well.
Also, Winnie Archer (aka Melissa Bourbon & Misa Ramirez) will be releasing A Murder Yule Regret, the 7th in the Bread Shop Mystery Series. Ivy Culpepper is preparing as best she can for Christmas, taking the opportunity to pick up a bit of extra work as her job as a freelance photographer by shooting the local Dickensian dress up Christmas party. Unfortunately, as is so often the case in Cozy mysteries, disaster strikes when a corpse turns up at the party.

Lena Gregory: Mistletoe Cake Murder (This will be the 6th in the All-Day Breakfast Cafe Mystery Series.)
Kate Kingsbury (aka Rebecca Kent & Allison Kingsley) In Hot Water (This will be the 1st in the NEW Misty Bay Tea Room Mystery Series.)
Archer Mayor: Marked Man (This will be the 32nd in the Joe Gunther Mystery Series.)
