My husband and I drove up to Colorado Springs to visit my brother, since he took the whole week off. Our son is “holding down the fort” back home. (It’s so nice not having to board our puppy, Cocoa. It makes our trips a lot easier for me. When our children were young and we took family vacations, I would worry about leaving our dog, Sprite at a kennel. Of course, I worry about a lot of things…)
Getting back to the purpose of my entry: I hope you all are spending your holidays just the way you would like to spend them, be it grilling, sleeping, going to firework shows, relaxing, or reading.

I just wanted to put out a quick “Happy Mother’s Day” to all those mothers and expectant mothers out there! Thank you all for working so hard to provide for those you love and depend upon you.
I thought I’d write a quick not to tell you why I stopped posting the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel’s mystery movies. I hated to stop posting them, but I found that it took more time than it should have to find the dates and synopses of the different new mystery movies. Since I post the 
I know a lot of you follow Turner Classic Movies channel’s mystery movies, as well as their terrific classic movies. And, let’s face it, anyone who enjoys that channel knows how absolutely phenomenal Robert Osborne’s terrific special conversations with actors, as well as his even more terrific introductions and wrap-ups of movies were. Unfortunately, Robert Osborne passed away on March 6, 2017. Because of his recent death, the Turner Classic Movies channel has rescheduled their showings for this weekend to include “Private Screening” with different actors as well as the 20th year anniversary tribute for Robert Osborne, along with his “Live from the TCM Film Festival” conversations with actors.
