I highly recommend the Andy Carpenter series byDavid Rosenfelt. Intelligently written, funny, and with dogs. Love this series.

Did you mean these are ‘July’ releases instead of ‘August’ releases? I didn’t check ALL the books listed, but those I did, have July release dates, some July 3, some July 10, and some July 31. In fact, Italian Iced was released June 26 (I already have it) and one blog participant recommended it on the June Recommendations list.

I just finished A Lady’s Guide to Etiquette and Murder by Diane Freeman. It is the first of a new historical series. Set in the Victorian era this book is so well written that I just couldn’t put it down. If you like historical mystery with smart characters and a good plot, you will love this book.

There seems to be a problem with the August releases. At least two of these books are coming out in July – Lorna Barrett and Lynn Cahoon for sure. I received an e-mail yesterday that I would get the Lorna Barrett book on 7/10.

Don’t forget that Gail Bowen has a new book out in the Joanne Kilbourn series. It is not cozy, but it is excellent.
