I am looking forward to Beverly Allen’s new bridal bouquet shop series, “Bloom and Doom”, which debuts April 1st.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Readingprincess, thanks for telling us about Beverly Allen’s Bloom and Doom.
Karen says
I just read it and loved it!
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Karen, thank you for also letting us know how good Bloom and Doom is.
MJ says
Christine Wenger isn’t yet on the cozy list. A year ago she wrote the first book, ‘Do or Diner’, in her new series (Comfort Food Mystery). For those waiting for the second book, ‘Second Helping of Murder’, its release date is 4-1-14.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
MJ, I have just finished getting a page ready to post for Christine Wenger. (She has been recommended by several Cozy Mystery readers.) You’re right about her Comfort Food Mystery Series: Do or Diner and Second Helping of Murder I hope to get her page up very soon. (I want to finish all five of the authors and then post them.)
Cathy says
Thanks Danna for the list! I’ve requested “the target” and Emily Brightwell’s next book from the library. I really enjoy your website/blog and am following you on pinterest and fb. I don’t know how you find the time to do all this but I sure am glad you do it, I stay connected to books through your posts. Being a full time working single mom of three adopted kids limits my time so you are a great resource for me, you do all the work and I reap the profits. thanks again, Cathy
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Cathy, Emily Brightwell’s “new” mystery isn’t actually a “new” mystery. Mrs. Brightwell Pleads the Fifth is an omnibus, so if you have read book #13 (Mrs. Jeffries Takes the Cake), book #14 (Mrs. Jeffries Rocks the Boat), & book #15 (Mrs. Jeffries Weeds the Plot) in the Mrs. Brightwell series, then you have already read Mrs. Brightwell Pleads the Fifth.
Cathy says
Oh, ok I guess I’ll have to wait a little while for her next installment. thanks.

Danna on Wednesday at 12:30pm on Turner Classic Movies Look Who’s Laughing is on. It has Fibber McGee and Molly The Great Gildersleeve, Charlie McCarthy and Edgar Bergan, and Lucille Ball. This is my all-time favorite movie. I know your husband would like this movie as well. In it we get to see Charlie McCarthy act without Edgar in a few scenes and if you have ever listened to a Fibber McGee and Molly’s Radio show there is a character called Teeny who sounds like a really young girl but is actually Molly McGee. You get to see her do it on the screen. So be sure and either record it or watch it. It is great. This is why I love old-time radio so much better than television
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Thanks, Alfred, for telling us all about this movie. I know you enjoy listening to old radio shows, so this must be right up your alley.
Thanks, again!
Cathy says
Danna, Thank you, again, for doing all the hard work for us!
So many new books! Well, I have never read any of the books in the Betty Rowland’s Sukey Reynolds series…I think I’ll give this series a try! Sincerely, Cathy K.

Cathy, please let us know if you like her mysteries.

New computer so I have to re establish all my links. Alfred mentioned his favorite movie. One I would like to watch again is “If it’s Tuesday,it must be Belgium.” I recommended to my travel agent but it has not been on TV. Netflix has it so my son will get it for me. Regina
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Regina, I just watched If It’s Tuesday, This Must be Belgium some time last year (or possibly the year before). Suzanne Pleshette was such a delight to see. (I think I had DVR-ed it off of TCM.)
judy says
Has anyone heard if madelyn alts mystery in charms way has been released, or if it will ever be released?
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Judy, we have talked about that before, and I don’t think any of us knows what is going on with that particular book. As of right now, everything I have found says there is no release date. Here’s hoping that it will be released some time in the near future.
