Here are the four newest mystery book authors who you all have recommended to be included on the site:
Amanda Lee (aka Gayle Trent): Lee is the author of the NEW Embroidery Mystery Series, which features a sleuth who is the owner of an embroidery shop. It is set in Oregon. As Trent she writes the Daphne Martin Mystery Series which features a cake decorator/sleuth.
Gilbert Morris: Morris was a pastor for ten years, and writes the following mystery series: the Jacques & Cleo, Cat Detectives Mystery Series, the Lady Trent Mystery Series (set in 19th century London), and the Danielle Ross Mystery Series (aka Dani Ross Mystery Series)…
Mark Schweizer: Schweizer writes the Liturgical Mystery Series, which is set in a small town and features the police chief who also is the choir director and organist at his Episcopalian church. This series is supposed to be very funny...
Robert Spiller: Spiller has been a math teacher ranging from the elementary school level all the way to the college level. It is no wonder that his Bonnie Pinkwater Mystery Series features a sleuth who is a high school math teacher…

Danna, will be getting my 3 Jacques & Cleo books tomorrow in the mail and can hardly wait to start them! Love my cat mysteries & miss the CAT WHO ones so much.
Marla says
The Mark Schweizer liturgical series is hysterical! Even the titles are funny, such as “The Baritone Wore Chiffon”. All are set in a church world, with lots of references to church liturgy and long meetings. Being a music director in a church, I LOVE this series!

Marla,
That’s a great endorsement of Schweizer’s work. I can’t wait to read him!
Janis says
I agree that Mark Schweizer’s books are hilarious. Very literate, too. I like the author’s tongue-in-cheek style and his sense of the ridiculous. His protagonist’s (I’m blanking on the name) attempts to write a hard-boiled mystery on the vintage typewriter that belonged to a great mystery novelist are just too funny. These books are somewhat hard to find, but I’ve always ordered my copies from The Rue Morgue in Colorado.

Janis,
Isn’t it great that Amazon and the Rue Morgue carry hard-to-find books?
