Every year at this time I think about how neat it used to be when both of our children were home for the summer months. I was one of those parents who didn’t like it when they went back to school… the house always felt so quiet and lonely. However, every year at this time I also feel happy about (hopefully!) the weather getting a little more bearable down here in San Antonio. Good grief! The summer months down here have been pretty brutal! Hurray for autumn making it’s way to all of us!
Anyway… here are next month’s upcoming TCM (Turner Classic Movies) mystery movies!

Julie says
I was exactly the same way about having my kids home during the summer. I loved having them home and when we did get a snow day once in awhile, I think I was more thrilled than my kids and would drop everything to have a “cozy” day with them! ☺️
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Julie, it’s always good to spend quality time with the family, no matter the weather.
Susy S says
Danna,
I certainly know what you mean about the heat! I live in the desert near Phoenix, AZ and we have been above 115 too many days this month.
I do find the summer heat to be an excellent reason to stay inside with a good book, or movie.
Thanks for letting us know what movies will be coming to TV soon.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Susy, it certainly is a motivator to find something to do indoors! And you’re welcome as always as well.
Bek says
I hate to admit this, but…I had two boys, 10 months apart, a husband who thought his share of housework and parenting was a paycheck, and a fulltime job. The first day of school was the first deep breath I had drawn in three months! When they got older, it was better, especially when both of them took an interest in cooking AND sewing, so those became “family activities,” as well! If I could have stayed home and done thing with them, I probably would have enjoyed the summers more.
Now, back to making a list of movies…
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Bek, I can see that side of the equation as well!
Martha Knox says
I found a 100+ year old book of the picture of Dorian Grey for sale in the library. A great read, as is The Big Sleep. Love to read the oldies again. Can’t beat those pulp covers. So campy.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Martha, that’s certainly a great find! I don’t get to library sales much these days – though I used to go frequently, as I did to discount book stores.
Kivara says
Maybe I’m missing it, very tired this morning, but what channel(s) are these on? Thanks
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Kivara, whoops, I definitely should have mentioned that in the post! I’ve added it there, but these are the Turner Classic Movies mysteries for the month.
Regina Clarke says
Fabulous lineup! Thank you!
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Regina, you’re welcome! I hope you found something you’ll enjoy.
