We got back from New Orleans last night, and as vibrant and picturesque as that city is, it’s nice to be home! Of course, we didn’t do any sight-seeing or fun things; we will be doing those types of things in the future when we visit our daughter. And we’ll be scheduling those visits in cooler months of the year.
So, things will get back to normal for me, which means I will be posting the August mystery movies and the September new releases >>> starting tomorrow.

Glad you are safely back. Now tell us what you really thought of New Orleans….ha. I know, not the place to share anything but positive. It is a colorful place…lots of culture, texture. Hope you take time to see location of Ann Rice….and old plantations…I recall standing on front lawn under a live oak, hot, steamy, dreaming of Tara, but looking at a vista of giant industrial tanks in the distance, holding whatever. Inherent in that is the push pull of the area.

Thank you! We’re glad to be home. There’s something to be said about having everything you need right at your fingertips… not to mention being able to sleep in your own bed.
I think we’re going to enjoy visiting New Orleans, but I’m not sure it’s the city for my husband and me. Looks like it is much better suited to the younger set.
Our daughter’s apartment has the view of the Mississippi River bridge. I wanted to just sit and enjoy the scenery. A Mississippi River cruise ship was docked there, and I can imagine how wonderful it will look when they decorate the bridge for the holiday season. (I’m assuming that a city that celebrates Mardi Gras also decorates its bridge!)
Dorothy is right, though. There’s no place like home…

We live in the best city, San Antonio, Texas. I love the Annie’s Attic Mysteries! I am in my fourth one and will be reading All of them! All 30 of those wonderful books. The good people of Stony Point, Maine are like my friends! Love them all. Great stories! Blanca

Blanca, you’re right about San Antonio being a great city. I just wish it wasn’t so doggone hot down here!
