February is upon us! We had a very cold (for us!) January here in San Antonio, and it looks like February is going to be even colder — which makes it the ideal time to cozy up on your favorite sofa/recliner and either read a Cozy Mystery or watch a mystery or crime movie. [Unfortunately, the Turner Classic Movies (TCM) channel isn’t showing a whole lot of mysteries this month, although there are a few good ones to look forward to…]
Oh, and before I forget, if you’re a fan of Lionel, Ethel, and/or John Barrymore — on Tuesday, February 24 TCM will be showing “Rasputin and the Empress” (1932). It is the only time all three of the Barrymore siblings were in a movie together. (I happen to be a fan, so will be watching it again.)
Also, the Turner Classic Movies channel Star of the Month for February is … Bugs Bunny (?!!!?). So set your mode of DVR to catch a whole lot of Bugs Bunny cartoons throughout February. I’m guessing I’ll be saving them to watch with my granddaughter during her next trip down here.
