My daughter and I have decided to head on up to Colorado Springs to see my mother, her beau, and my brother…. And, I should probably mention my mother’s "new baby"… a King Charles Spaniel. (My husband and son will be at home taking care of our "baby"… Sprite.)
So, I have done the same thing that I did last summer>>> post dated several blog entries which will "magically appear" on the correct days. (I can even select the times I want the blogs to appear!) These computers sure are wonderful things, aren’t they?
We haven’t made the trip by car since my father passed away several years ago. I guess that I have blocked out just how long the trip actually is to drive. My husband is slowly making aware of how long it will take, and how desolate some areas are. If flying hadn’t become such a nuisance, we would definitely be flying. My memories from last summer when our airline simply cancelled our flight back from Boston are quite vivid… The airline actually left a message on my answering machine which greeted me when I got home from Boston via another flight! What a nice welcome home that was… after scurrying around trying to find another flight, to hear the automated message telling me that I would need to scurry around to find another flight. Good grief!

Enjoy your stay in Colorado Springs! That’s practically down the road from me. I love Garden of the Gods and wandering around Manitou Springs. Lots of authors of cozies down there and all around the area. Have fun!!

Hi Vickie,
I love Garden of the Gods! When I lived in the Springs I used to cut through it every time I went to Manitou Springs, Woodland Park…. Well, just about anywhere I could go to find a reason to drive through it.
You are so lucky to live in that area of the country!
