Cozy Mystery News – March 2020

Well, this is a good month for Cozy Mystery News – I’ve got four pieces of good news for announcements by established site authors!

First up, Kate Carlisle has announced the names of a few of her upcoming mysteries – Little Black Book, which will be an entry in the Bibliophile Mystery Series and focused on a copy of Daphne du Maurier’s Rebecca, and Dressed to Drill, which will be an entry in the Fixer-Upper Mystery Series.

 

 

 

Sofie Kelly (aka Sofie Ryan & Darlene Ryan for Young Adult) will be releasing at least two more entries in the Magical Cats Cozy Mystery Series, which will bring the series to a total of at least thirteen entries. Kelly is also the author of the Second Chance Cat Mystery Series.

 

 

 

Leslie Meier has announced the name of one of her upcoming mysteries, Easter Bonnet Murder, which will be at least the 27th in the Lucy Stone Mystery Series, and presumably an Easter mystery. This will be the second Easter mystery in this series – not a surprise as many of this particular series have been holiday entries over the years.

 

 

 

Finally, Valerie Wilson Wesley will be starting a new series after more than a decade away from mysteries, which will star a widowed realtor named Dessa Jones, who possesses a bit of an unreliable sixth sense. The first entry in this particular series will be titled A Glimmer of Death.

New Releases – March 9 to March 15, 2020

Susan Hill: The Benefit of Hindsight (This will be the 10th in the Simon Serrailler Mystery Series.)

Anna Lee Huber: A Stroke of Malice (This will be the 8th in the Lady Darby Mystery Series.)

Julie Anne Lindsey (aka Jacqueline Frost, Julie Chase, & Bree Baker): Pulp Friction (This will be the 2nd in the Cider Shop Mystery Series.)

G. A. McKevett: And the Killer Is… (This will be the 25th in the Savannah Reid Mystery Series.)

Jenn McKinlay (aka Josie Belle & Lucy Lawrence): Pumpkin Spice Peril (This will be the 12th in the Cupcake Bakery Mystery Series.)

Carlene O’Connor: Murder in Galway (This will be the 1st in the NEW Home to Ireland Mystery Series.)

Sara Paretsky: Dead Land (This will be the 20th in the V.I. Warshawski non-Cozy Mystery Series.)

Anne Perry: One Fatal Flaw (This will be the 3rd in the Daniel Pitt Mystery Series.)

Ann B. Ross: Miss Julia Knows a Thing or Two (This will be the 22nd in the Miss Julia Mystery Series.)

Paige Shelton: The Stolen Letter (This will be the 5th in the Scottish Bookshop Mystery Series.)

Alexander McCall Smith: The Talented Mr. Varg (This will be the 2nd in the Detective Varg Mystery Series.)

Julia Spencer-Fleming: Hid from Our Eyes (This will be the 9th in the Clare Fergusson/Russ Van Alstyne Adirondack non-Cozy Mystery Series.)
