Cozy Mystery News – April 2020

April has been a weak month for Cozy mystery news… I only have one Cozy Mystery announcement to pass along, though at least it is a pretty big one.

Janet Evanovich will be releasing four new novels, across a number of series – first, she will be putting out two more Stephanie Plum novels, one of which will be titled Fortune and Glory, breaking her tradition of including the entry number in her titles (this would be entry 27). She will also be putting out another in the Fox & O’Hare Mystery Series with her son, Peter Evanovich, bringing the series to at least six entries. Finally, she will also be starting an as-yet unnamed spin-off series.

May 2020 Mystery Book New Releases

The following Mystery Books will be released in May 2020:

Bree Baker (aka Jacqueline Frost, Julie Chase, & Julie Anne Lindsey): A Call for Kelp (This will be the 4th in the Seaside Cafe Mystery Series.)

Lorraine Bartlett (aka L. L. Bartlett & Lorna Barrett): A Murderous Misconception (This will be the 7th in the Victoria Square Mystery Series.)

Kathleen Bridge: Evil by the Sea (This will be the 4th in the By the Sea Mystery Series.)

Rita Mae Brown: Furmidable Foes (This will be the 29th in the Mrs. Murphy Mystery Series.)

Michael Connelly: Fair Warning (This will be the 3rd in the Jack McEvoy Mystery Series.)

“Jessica Fletcher” (with Donald Bain and Jon Land): The Murder of Twelve (This will be the 52nd in the Murder, She Wrote Mystery Series.)

Amanda Flower (aka Isabella Alan): Marshmallow Malice (This will be the 6th in the Amish Candy Shop Mystery Series.)

Carolyn Haines: The Devil’s Bones (This will be the 20th in the Sarah Booth Delaney Mystery Series.)

L.B. Hathaway: Murder on the White Cliffs (This will be the 8th in the Posie Parker Mystery Series.)

Kylie Logan (aka Miranda Bliss & Casey Daniels): The Secret of Bones (This will be the 2nd in the Jazz Ramsey Mystery Series.)

Francine Mathews (aka Stephanie Barron): Death on Tuckernuck (This will be the 7th in the Merry Folger Nantucket Mystery Series.) 

Linda Reilly: The Girl With the Kitten Tattoo (This will be the 5th in the Cat Lady Mystery Series.)

Karen Rose Smith: Murder with Clotted Cream (This will be the 5th in the Daisy’s Tea Garden Mystery Series.)

Diane Vallere: Spiders From Mars (This will be the 4th in the Sylvia Stryker Mystery Series.)
