Cozy Mystery News – June 2020
We have a decent amount of Cozy Mystery news for June – three pieces, in fact!
First, Cathy Ace‘s Cait Morgan Mystery Series has been picked up by Free@Last TV, the same company that produced the Agatha Raisin television series. Episodes should be about an hour and a half. Cait Morgan is a professor in British Columbia, Canada. This is really good news for fans of the series, as it hasn’t had an entry since 2016 – though another entry will be coming out later this month, The Corpse with the Crystal Skull.
Next up, Parnell Hall (aka J. P. Hailey) will be putting out a standalone thriller, Chasing Jack, on September 1st of this year. Though I don’t cover thrillers as much as I do Cozies, I think this is worth mentioning because Hall is also the author of the Puzzle Lady Mystery Series.
Finally, Paige Shelton will be writing more entries in the Scottish Bookshop Mystery Series, and has committed to writing up to eight. Since only five have come out so far, that means we’ll have three more to look forward to in years to come! Unfortunately, no titles yet for the upcoming entries in the series beyond Deadly Editions, which is due out in April.

Edward Marston (aka Keith Miles and Conrad Allen): Rage of the Assassin (This will be the 5th in the Bow Street Rivals Mystery Series.)
Kirsten Weiss: Oak (This will be the 7th in the Witches of Doyle Mystery Series.)
One New Cozy Mystery Series Coming July 2020
July will have a single new Cozy Mystery series premier written by an established Cozy Mystery author.
Vicki Delany will be putting out Tea and Treachery, the first entry in her new Tea by the Sea Mystery Series. Lily Roberts, a former New Yorker now living in Cape Cod, is the owner and pastry chef of Tea by the Sea, a traditional English tearoom, right next door to her grandmother’s Victorian bed & breakfast. Her idyllic lifestyle is threatened, however, by a real estate developer who wants to build a golf resort. Naturally, when the real estate mogul turns up dead, both Lily and her grandmother seem like prime suspects, and she’ll need to investigate to clear their names and save their businesses. Delaney also writes the Sherlock Holmes Bookshop Mystery Series, the Year-Round Christmas Mystery Series, the Ashley Grant Mystery Series, the Ray Robertson Mystery Series, and (as Eva Gates) the Lighthouse Library Mystery Series.
