Sure does look like a lot of good reading coming to us in October. These next 6 weeks are my favorite times of the year,-cool mornings and nights, warm afternoons. I love to sit outside, watch the color changes of Mother nature, the clouds, the clear, darker blue sky with a good book in my hand or on my lap, with a cup of strong hot coffee beside me. Fall is beautiful in Ohio!!

Linda, one of the things I like about this time of the year is that a lot of authors start putting out their seasonal/holiday mystery books. And, as someone who lives in a two-season area of the country (HOT and cold, with no changing leaf colors) I appreciate when my mysteries’ bodies are found in deep snow banks or under piles of orange, gold, and yellow leaves.

Hi! I just wanted to put an idea out there. I occasionally write to Joanne Fluke. She puts her email in her books and most of the time she writes back. However, with the release of the cook book and Devil’s Food Cake Murder I’m sure she’s been pretty busy. Maybe we could get her to do an interview for your “Author Interviews” page?
p.s. I love the book list this month! I’m currently reading something but as soon as I am done. I am going to tackle my list. Thanks so much!
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Regina, this sounds like a great idea, but, as you can see, I only have two authors who I interviewed. Coming up with questions turned out to be a little more time-consuming than I had thought it would be, and keeping those pages updated keeps slipping my mind. Maybe I could try something totally new, and post an entry asking Cozy Mystery site readers to come up with questions they would enjoy getting the answers to. Let me “think on it…”

Sure thing. Let me know if there is anything I can do to assist you. One reader to another! Have a great day!!
Also there is another author I recently stumble upon she wrote a book called “Bitter Pill” I emailed her to let her know I loved her book. It’s part of the “Rennie Harlow” series. However, the author hasn’t written the next book. She told me that she is writing something else. Hopefully she will return to the series. I’ll see what kind of ideas I can come up with.

While waiting for my library to call with my October book selections I have been checking out the sites on B&N & Amazon for new cozy mysteries to read. Last night I stumbled across Loose Screw by Rae Davies. I could not put it down. It is a 1st book in a new series about a single woman who is an Antique Dealer & at times a newspaper reporter. It was funny, entertaining & informative. I highly recommend this book. Ms. Davies promises the next book in this series in 2012. I can hardly wait. And for those of you who have a Nook or Kindle the price can’t be beat, $.99.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Thanks, Jane, for telling us about Rae Davies.
