Maria Schneider’s second mystery in her Sedona O’Hala Mystery Series is going to be released very soon… as in less than a month! You all have been so good about going to her site and voting for her book covers in the past.. Some of you have even given her helpful comments about what she should add or take away from her tentative mystery book covers.
Maria is having another book cover contest over at her site, for Executive Retention (the second book in her Sedona O’Hala mystery series, following Executive Lunch) and would very much appreciate hearing from you all. (This voting is over.)

Danna,
THANK YOU! As usual, tons of people from your blog visited. I really appreciate it everyone. Thank you for stopping by!
Looks like we’re going to need a runoff. Half like the darker background and half have picked the orange background by selecting either A or C.
I’m going to work on getting a runoff post up today and we’ll see where it takes us.
If anyone HATES a cover in particular, they haven’t commented!!!
Thanks again, everyone!
Maria

Maria, can’t wait to find out which book cover you decide to go with. After voting in the run-off, I’m quite interested in seeing what everyone else voted for…

The voting has been a little crazy. I’ve had numerous emails telling me to bring back cover “C.” (Voting for Cover C is still possible–that is why the selection: Cover C or bust was in the poll.)
I’ve also had 3 people write and ask me to change their vote after reading the comment trail. I guess after comparing the covers to that for Executive Lunch (the first in the series) a few people decided to recast their votes for A (or in one case C).
So–if anyone does regret their vote (in any direction) just put a comment in or send me an email. I’m very flexible with voting. This is not like running for governor. You get to change your mind!!!
Thanks again. It’s been very interesting adding some of the suggestions (I’m not sure the skull really worked, but there is a sample of it in the comment trail.)
More to come, keep on voting!
Maria

I didn’t particularly like the covers for Executive Lunch when you were running the last contest – but when I saw the cover on Amazon I remembered it and ordered it for my Kindle. It was a lot of fun and I am so looking forward to Executive Retention.

Hi Judith,
Actually, I wasn’t running the book cover contest… Maria E. Schneider (the author) was running it and asked if I would get the word out.
Sounds like you really enjoyed Executive Lunch. Thank you for telling us what a fun read it is!

I am thrilled to have found this great website. I am so into the Cozy Mysteries and this is just amazing. Thanks you so much for all the info, this will keep me going for years:):) A million thanks. D.

Welcome, Dorothy!
When I started the site, I only posted the authors who I had read and could “vouch” for. Since then, I have added many recommended authors (recommended by site readers) to the site and I have also added many of the recommended authors to my favorite authors list.

Judith–thank you so much for the kind words about Executive Lunch! Warms my heart it does! I hope you enjoy Executive Retention as well.
Believe it or not, I get feedback about all my covers–at least weekly. The problem is that some weeks it’s “I love that cover” and other weeks it is “I hate that cover!”
I’m thinking about having the cover for Executive Retention redone — drawn instead of a picture, a martini glass instead of a wine glass and a 100 dollar bill with a skull…
:>)
Thanks again!
Maria
