This year, my life partner and I are going to a mutual acquaintance’s home for Thanksgiving. It is his first Thanksgiving without his mother, as she died the year before, so we shall be there to both provide emotional support, and run interference with his bossy sister (the acquaintance described her as bossy, but since I AM quite good at telling people what to do, I shall know just how bossy she is as soon as I meet her).
May we always have mountains or reasons to be most thankful.
P. S. I do not know if you have any Canadian readers, but if memory serves, Canada also celebrates Thanksgiving.
Thank you, Danna, for being my key source for finding new (for me) cozy series or authors that are new to me. I use your lists when looking to fill in gaps in series I’ve enjoyed. I love the feedback from other aficionados when looking for a new read. Thank you for this ever-growing website. How many subscribers do you have now? Happy Thanksgiving. ???
It’s just after midnight, but I hope that all who celebrated had a WONDERFUL day!
The food is all put away, the dishes are done. I am sitting here with a cup of coffee (I am lucky that I can drink it at any time of day) and a piece of pumpkin pie, with the first of the Leaphorn and Chee books beside me. What a lovely sane end to a rather hectic day!
