OK – Sorry I’m so late in posting the July 2020 Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel line-up of mystery movies. However, I have a good reason for not rushing to post it. As it is July, a lot of you are familiar with the channel’s yearly decision to run reruns of their Christmas movies. However, this year it looks like things may be a little different.
Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel will start the month with their Christmas in July line-up and then switch over later on in the month. During the day they will be showing their “normal” mystery shows like Hart to Hart, Psych, Diagnosis Murder, and Murder, She Wrote. They will also be airing reruns of their Cedar Cove and Good Witch show (which aired on one of the other Hallmark channels) every morning for two hours.
Now, here comes the confusing part – at least to me it’s confusing! As I am posting this, it looks like the Hallmark M & M channel will stop showing Christmas movies on Monday, July 20. (Unless the person at the network who is in charge of their schedule messed up again!) So, I’m going to start posting the mystery shows as of that day.
Actually, it definitely looks like the person in charge of the Hallmark M & M scheduling is not taking her/his work seriously! Although the network currently has July 20 as the beginning date for showing reruns of their Cozy Mystery movies, they previously had the start date as Monday the 13th. So, apparently they will be showing reruns of their Christmas movies until Monday the 20th. However, I’m not holding my breath for the return of their reruns of Cozy Mystery movies since I have a feeling they will be changing their schedule to Christmas movies for the duration of July… and possibly some of August…)

Hi Danna,
The Hallmark Channel (not M&M) will show Christmas movies until the 29th. Not sure about this, but I think that is what is I saw on one of their ads. I wasn’t really paying attention as I really don’t think I will be watching till November.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
KG, that wouldn’t be a surprise. Still, this is what is currently is listed on their site, so I’m listing it for now.
plk says
I hope you are correct about Hallmark “it looks like the Hallmark M&MM channel will stop showing Christmas movies on Monday, July 13.” I have never understood why they show Christmas movies on HM&M … I do not see any mystery about Christmas … and they have 2 other channels… I like their Christmas movies…. just not being “forced” to watch them on 3 channels
Danna - cozy mystery list says
plk, I tend to agree – I don’t necessarily dislike their Christmas movies either, but taking over the mystery specific channel isn’t always well received.
Loralee Petersen says
Hallmark seems to roll out Christmas movies like a factory assembly line. They have built an industry out of it. I prefer to keep my Christmas movies in season, but if I did have a Christmas movie wish it would be that they make a few Christmas mystery movies. There are lots of books and even series that feature Christmas. Vicky Delany’s Year Round Christmas Mystery series is just one example.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Loralee, that would certainly be a nice change of pace – and give them something suitable to air on their mysteries channel as well!
Donna McLean says
The Christmas movies will be shown for one or two weeks on each of three Hallmark channels, so it is a full month but not on one channel like before. I only watch the mystery channel anyway, so to be honest I’m glad they aren’t preempting all the mysteries for an entire month. There really aren’t many options for clean mysteries anymore. PBS doesn’t show classics like Miss Marple, Morse, and Sherlock Holmes now, so Hallmark is about the only channel for watching Diagnosis Murder, Matlock, Monk, shows like that. I don’t care for the “realistic” forensic shows.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Donna, I certainly hope that you are right about the scheduling!
Teri W says
Some old cozy mysteries are on Cozi TV and FEME channels
Teri W says
It looks like now the Christmas movies continue to the 24th and the Signed, Sealed, Delivered marathon has been moved to 25th
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Teri, not a surprise. I’ll have to update this post soon.
Cher says
Finally a website that actually lists dates and times of actual Hallmark Mysteries!! Thank you so much!
