I have just added a new page to my site. It is called the "Cozy Mysteries by Themes." If you click on the links on the page, it will take you to the exact blog that I wrote about the different featured subjects.
So far I have an animal category which includes the cozy mystery lists that feature dogs, cats, birds, birdwatchers, pet stores, pet sitting, and veterinarians.
The next category is the cozy mystery holidays. This is followed by the hobbies, which includes the cozy mystery books that feature beading, needlework, knitting, Sudoku, and books with the antique theme.
In the profession category, I only have ministers (who happen to be women) and veterinarians (the same as the animal theme books.) but, with a little time, I plan to have a whole lot of different professions that our favorite sleuths belong to.
This is just the very beginning, but I am excited about the new page because I think that it will make it easier for people who come to the site to be able to quickly access which cozy mystery authors feature different animals, professions, hobbies, and interests. I hope that having all of these lists on one central page will make it easier for the site’s readers…

Hallo Danna,
my name is Darina and I am writing from Slovakia. I just want to thank you so much for your cosy mystery list,I just stumbled on it on my way from wikipedia and it was such a luck for me….
I live in a country where it is almost impossible to buy some books in english language, of course there are shops with books for teachers of language, as me, and students, but thats it practically, nothing much going on here….
I am 30 and to finance my studies I used to work abroad, I took a year off and was in USA,Britain and later also in kanada.I love to speak english, watch english tv channels, everything connected to good neat mystery. On my travel abroad, on holiday or just long weekeds I try to buy as many new or used books that my luggage can carry…
however, I had a struggle to choose in a large bookstore with few minutes spared the right book, since everything I saw was about american cops, heavy action on a street….
nothing that I care about. My interests since I was a child, was cosy mystery, I love Agatha Christie, ins. Morse, miss seeton,MRS.murphy…..
to tell you the truth I have not yet read your list, but I know that you will help me tremendesly to find something that i like, without being angry at myself that I spend money on a book that I can very well spend somewhwre else…..
later I write more, sincerely DARINA

Welcome to the site, Darina. I am so glad that you found it! You sound like you really enjoy cozy mysteries… I’m like you, I can pass on the "heavy action on the street type of cop" book, but love the more passive intelligence of Poirot, Morse, or Miss Marple.
Your year off from studies sounds like it was full of all sorts of wonderful adventures… including a lot of browsing in book stores. Lucky you! Canada, Great Britain and the USA… you must have a lot of wonderful memories. (Not to mention a lot of cozy mysteries!)
By the way, your English is EXCELLENT!!!
