I’ll be posting the television mystery movies schedule tomorrow morning (I’m working on it right now), but I thought I’d take a break now to tell you about the new Aurora Teagarden movie that will be shown on the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel, on July 26, 2015. These Aurora Teagarden mystery movies are based on the Aurora Teagarden Mystery Series by Charlaine Harris. I am hoping that as these movies become more and more popular, Charlaine Harris might think about writing some new mysteries in this series. (I finished reading all of them when she stopped the series in 2003.)
Here is the synopsis from the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel:
Real Murders: An Aurora Teagarden Mystery
Aurora finds a member of her crime buff group, the Real Murders Club, killed in a manner that eerily resembles the crime the club was about to discuss. As other brutal “copycat” killings follow, Aurora will have to uncover the person behind the terrifying game. Stars Candace Cameron Bure, Lexa Doig, Robin Dunne and Marilu Henner.
Here is the schedule for the movie’s showings (Central time zone):
Sunday – July 26 8:00 PM
Tuesday – July 28 6:00 PM
Wednesday – July 29 8:00 AM
Friday – July 31 8:00 PM
Saturday – August 1 4:00 PM
Wednesday – August 26 6:00 PM
Thursday – August 27 8:00 AM

Sheila in CT says
Danna. Thanks for the update on the next Aurora Teagarden Mystery movie. The first showing is on my Birthday. What a nice present. Won’t forget that date.

Sheila in CT, I thought the first Aurora Teagarden mystery movie was cute, so I’m hoping the next one is as well. I wondered when we were going to be seeing the second movie >>> the channel seems to be trying to space them as much as they can. Hope you have a great time on your birthday!

Even tho I am kind of indifferent towards Candice Cameron, I have to admit the first movie was not too bad. I have never read the series so I had no expectations. I also enjoyed The Gourmet Detective and look forward to the next movie.
I am just happy to have some fun new mystery movies on again.

Margaret M, I think she was particularly cute in the first one. I’m glad the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel is going to be making these three (Charlaine Harris, Joanne Fluke, and Peter King) mystery book adaptations into series. It is nice to have “some fun new mystery movies on again.”!
Diane says
I’ve read this series and enjoy it. It would be great to have some more Aurora Teagarden books. I just reread Real Murders so I would be ready for the Hallmark movie on July 26.

Diane, I was sorry when Charlaine Harris started writing her paranormal mysteries in lieu of her more traditional series. Here’s hoping the interest in these Hallmark movies help her decide to write more Aurora Teagarden mysteries!

Love Aurora–could never get into Sookie
Julia says
I saw the first movie, and look forward to the second. While I found some of the behavior of Aurora’s character hard to credit (I’m sorry, but an adult just should know better than to treat someone’s skull that disrespectfully), I thought Candace Cameron Bure did a good job in the role, and the relationships between the characters – and the actors – were more believable than in some other mystery adaptations.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Julia, I have to agree that I thought it was a little odd how Aurora was sort of handling the skull as if it were a child’s plastic toy ball…
Rebecca says
I really enjoyed the first Teagarden movie. I am reading the first book right now and I didn’t realize that the second movie is actually the first book in the series until I started reading it.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Rebecca, I wondered why they decided to topsy-turvy the books with the movies.
