Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Channel Cozy Mystery Movies – August 2020

August 1, 2020

Now that the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel holiday season (Christmas in July) is over – except for every Thursday night, they will be getting back to reruns of mystery shows and two of their regular Hallmark channel’s shows (Good Witch and Cedar Cove). Unfortunately, there are no premieres during August 2020.

I realize that this awful Covid 19 is stopping production on any new shows, however I wonder why the channel can’t show some of best selling author Mary Higgins Clark‘s mystery movies (or even mystery movies by true crime authors like the excellent Ann Rule  (considered the Queen of True Crime). I realize that these movies would also be reruns – but from years ago. Oh well… wishful thinking…

Upcoming Television Mystery Movies for August 2020

July 22, 2020

I have to say, for anyone who considers Barbara Stanwyck one the best actresses of all time, August is starting out with a big bang! Saturday, August 1, 2020 is an all-day celebration of Barbara Stanwyck movies >>> and I’m all in! I’ve seen most of them several times, but I enjoy them each and every time I watch them. (As if that isn’t enough, Sunday, August 23 will feature movies with Bette Davis in them!)

Unfortunately, August also brings us a month on the Turner Classic Movies channel that we won’t be seeing Eddie Muller or his film noir movies on Noir Alley. I real drag for many of us.

Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Channel Cozy Mystery Movies – July 2020

July 2, 2020

OK – Sorry I’m so late in posting the July 2020 Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel line-up of mystery movies. However, I have a good reason for not rushing to post it. As it is July, a lot of you are familiar with the channel’s yearly decision to run reruns of their Christmas movies. However, this year it looks like things may be a little different.

Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel will start the month with their Christmas in July line-up and then switch over later on in the month. During the day they will be showing their “normal” mystery shows like Hart to Hart, Psych, Diagnosis Murder, and Murder, She Wrote. They will also be airing reruns of their Cedar Cove and Good Witch show  (which aired on one of the other Hallmark channels) every morning for two hours.

Now, here comes the confusing part – at least to me it’s confusing! As I am posting this, it looks like the Hallmark M & M channel will stop showing Christmas movies on Monday, July 20. (Unless the person at the network who is in charge of their schedule messed up again!) So, I’m going to start posting the mystery shows as of that day.

Actually, it definitely looks like the person in charge of the Hallmark M & M scheduling is not taking her/his work seriously! Although the network currently has July 20 as the beginning date for showing reruns of their Cozy Mystery movies, they previously had the start date as Monday the 13th. So, apparently they will be showing reruns of their Christmas movies until Monday the 20th. However, I’m not holding my breath for the return of their reruns of Cozy Mystery movies since I have a feeling they will be changing their schedule to Christmas movies for the duration of July… and possibly some of August…)
