Jennie Bentley writes the Do It Yourself Mystery Series which features Avery Marie Baker, a New York professional house renovations expert.

Gail Bowen is a professor of English in Canada who writes the Joanne Kilbourn Mystery Series  which has, as its sleuth, a Canadian professor

Mindy Starns Clark  writes two inspirational mystery series: the Million Dollar Mystery Series and the Smart Chick Mystery Series.

Ruth Dudley Edwards became a civil servant in London and a freelance writer after finishing graduate school at Cambridge. Edwards writes the Robert Amiss Mystery Series which features a retired civil servant in England.

Here are the four latest authors who I am adding to the site, based on your recommendations and requests. Actually, Sally and Annie are the same person, so that really makes only three new authors. Three of them feature “senior” sleuths. These seniors lead extremely active lives…

Peter Abresch writes the James P. Dandy Elderhostel Mystery Series which is set in New Jersey and features an ex-physical therapist. (An Elderhostel is a place that offers low cost rooming rates and with low costing classes, which are usually held at college campuses.)

Sally Chapman (aka Annie Griffin) writes the Silicon Valley Mystery Series which features Julie Blake, an investigator for computer fraud.

Annie Griffin (aka Sally Chapman) pens the Hannah & Kiki Mystery Series which features very active senior sister sleuths based in California.

Margaret Searles is an ex-teacher who writes the Mrs. Millet and Mrs. Hark Mystery Series.

I have had several people tell me (and ask me) about the Heartsong Presents Mysteries (by Christian authors), so I thought I would add a page for them.  I had a difficult time figuring the Heartsong Presents Mysteries’ authors, since I never quite got the hang of the website. Luckily, I finally found the information for which I was looking. (If I have made any mistakes, please contact me to let me know!)

I wasn’t quite sure where to post the Heartsong Presents Mysteries, though. And then it dawned on me>>> Rather than try to make an individual page for each of the authors, why not list the Heartsong Presents Mysteries on the “H” page?

In short, that is what I did.

When you see the individual page for the Heartsong Presents Mysteries, you will be able to note how many authors write under this series’ name. Each author seems to be separate from the other authors… Each author has her/his own series of books, and the individual authors’ omnibus collections feature a state.  (For example, Alibis in Arkansas, Nosy in Nebraska,  Cosy in Kansas, etc.)

I’ll bet that the people who recommended the following four mystery authors wondered what was taking me so long to get them posted! They are actually the four last authors who I have prepared, but I have a long list of other authors to do. I try to post the authors as I get them. (I also try to get several done so that I have a fountain to draw from, but this is it!)

Maggie Barbieri: Murder 101 Mystery Series… Stars Alison Bergeron, a  divorced professor who sleuths around with a New York City homicide detective.

Georgette Heyer: Superintendent Hannasyde Mystery Series… These books from Great Britain were written by Heyer in the 1930s through 1950s.

M. M. Kaye  (Mary Margaret Kaye): Death in ***** Mystery Series… The books in this series take place in far away places. (She also wrote The Far Pavilions.)

Margaret Yorke: Dr. Patrick Grant Mystery Series… This doctor is a professor at Oxford.
