Here are four mystery author additions to the Cozy Mystery site. They have been recommended by some of you because you think they belong on the site, and want to get the word out to the rest of us.

Jeffrey Allen, Mary Lou Kirwan, Anna Loan-Wilsley, & Staci McLaughlin – 4 New Author Additions to the Cozy Mystery Site

December 19, 2012

You all have told me about a lot of authors who you think should be included on the Cozy Mystery site. Well, here are the four newest additions to the site:

Jeffrey Allen writes the Stay at Home Dad Mystery Series. This series features a Texas dad who takes care of the home, and also coaches his daughter’s soccer team. He also finds time to solve mysteries.

Mary Lou Kirwin is the author of the Librarian Mystery Series. In the series, the sleuth lives in Minnesota, where she works as a librarian and solves mysteries.

Anna Loan-Wilsey pens the Hattie Davish “Have Typewriter Will Travel” Mystery Series. This series takes place in the USA during the late 19th century. I believe that Hattie, who is a traveling secretary/typist, will travel from one locale to another in each of the mystery books. The first book takes place in Arkansas, the second in Illinois.

Staci McLaughlin writes the Blossom Valley Mystery Series. The series is set in an organic farm and spa in California. Dana Lewis, the sleuth, moves in with her recently widowed mother, and finds herself working at the spa. Unfortunately, Dana is a junk food fanatic.

Thank you to those of you who recommended these authors.

Mollie Cox Bryan, Mary Jane Clark, Claire Donally, & Donna McLean : Four of the Newest Mystery Author Additions

November 13, 2012

As I recently told you all, I have been trying to get more authors posted to the Cozy Mystery site. You all have been so patient with me. I know that once you recommend an author, you would enjoy seeing that I finally get him/her up on the site, and some of you are probably frustrated with all of the waiting. Thank you for bearing with me!

Here are four of the newest mystery author additions to the site:

Mollie Cox Bryan: Cumberland Creek Mystery Series
This series features a sleuth who is an ex-investigative journalist. Now that she is a stay-at-home mom (in Virginia) she has more time to sleuth AND scrapbook. Bryan is also the author of two cookbooks: “Mrs. Rowe’s Little Book of Southern Pies” & “Mrs. Rowe’s Restaurant Cookbook“.)

Mary Jane Clark: Piper Donovan Wedding Cake Mystery Series
Even though Piper Donovan would rather be fully employed in her profession of choices (actress), she is very busy between working in her family’s New Jersey bakery business as a professional cake decorator and solving mysteries. Clark is also the author of the Key News Suspense/Thrillers.

Claire Donally: Sunny & Shadow Mystery Series
Sunny Coolidge is a newspaper reporter who has had to move back to Maine because of her ailing father. Shadow is a stray tomcat who has decided to make Sunny “his person”. These two make a great sleuthing duo.

Donna McLean: Sparrow Falls Mystery Series
Addie McRae has moved to Sparrow Falls, a delightfully quaint, little town in North Carolina. Addie is trying to find out more about her Scottish heritage. Tilda MacArdan helps Addie with her heritage questions, and she also helps Addie solve the mysteries that come her (their) way.

Ali Brandon, Waverly Curtis, Molly MacRae, & Andrea Penrose : Four Mystery Author Just Added to the Cozy Mystery Site

October 12, 2012

Here are four mystery author additions to the Cozy Mystery site. It has taken me a while to finally get myself in gear, and hopefully I can get some more authors posted soon. (These are authors who you all have recommended for me to include on the site.)

Ali Brandon (aka Diane A.S. Stuckart) writes the Black Cat Bookshop Mystery Series. Brandon has a degree in Journalism and is also the author (as Stuckart) of the Leonardo da Vinci (Historical) Mystery Series. The Black Cat Bookshop Mystery Series takes place in Brooklyn, and features not only the Texan transplant sleuth, but also her cat, Hamlet.

Waverly Curtis (aka Waverly Fitzgerald and Curtis Colbert) writes the Barking Detective Mystery Series, which takes place in Seattle. Geri Sullivan is an investigator who owns Pepe, “Chihuahua extraordinaire”. (Waverly Fitzgerald is the author of four Victorian historical romances and a teacher of adult writing classes. Colbert is the author of the Jake Rossiter & Miss Jenkins Mystery Series.)

Molly MacRae pens the Haunted Yarn Shop Mystery Series. The series is set in Tennessee, and features the new owner of a wool shop. Kath Rutledge has inherited her grandmother’s shop along with an unhappy ghost.

Andrea Penrose received both her masters and bachelors degrees in the arts from Yale. She writes the Lady Arianna Regency Mystery Series which is set in London during the early 1800s.
