Upcoming Mysteries on Turner Classic Movies for October 2021

September 26, 2021

Oh boy! It’s that Bela Lugosi/Boris Karloff/Vincent Price time of year again! You’re probably tired of hearing about my passion for 1930s and 1940s scary movies… which happen to be just down right campy. I don’t seem to get enough of them!

However, since this is a list of the Turner Classic Movies channel mystery movies, I won’t list them. (I’m keeping my own private list of those campy movies that I have either not seen or can’t remember seeing!)

Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Channel Cozy Mystery Movies – September 2021

September 1, 2021

I have to admit that when I started doing the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel mystery movies for the month of September (2021) I had to keep checking to make sure I wasn’t doing the regular Hallmark channel’s movies. I also had to make sure I was doing the September list of movies, and not the February. I kid you not, this month’s first week line-up looks like it is a Valentine’s Day cornucopia of romantic movies! So, if you’re looking for romance in your movies, not mysteries, then you’ll be watching a lot of the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel the first week of September 2021!

However, I am very happy to tell you that in the first two weeks of the month, there will be a mystery movie premiere. Redemption in Cherry Springs will be premiering on Sunday, September 12. Melanie (Rochelle Aytes) goes back to Cherry Springs for a much-needed break. While at home, one of her friends disappears… (Oh, oh, I sense a Cozy Mystery here!)

P.S. I just finished posting the rest of September’s movies, and I am wondering if it’s just something special Hallmark is doing this month, or if this channel is going to have to change its name to “Hallmark Movies & Romance”! As you can see, I left quite a few days blank. That’s because a lot of September’s days are featuring romantic movies, in lieu of their Cozy Mystery movies! Yikes!

Upcoming Mysteries on Turner Classic Movies for September 2021

August 18, 2021

The Turner Classic Movies channel will be honoring teachers on the first of September. Who knew there were so many teacher-themed movies. Because they aren’t mystery movies I didn’t include them in the month’s schedule >>> but I thought some of you might want to check them out on their schedule.

There’s another little “who knew?” thing I found that will be on Friday, September 17. There are a whole lot of mystery movies that feature magic or magicians. I’ve never cared for magic, but I sure like mysteries >>> so maybe I should reconsider my I-can-take-it-or-leave-it opinion on magic!

On the official first day of autumn (Wednesday, September 22) the channel will be featuring movies with the word “autumn” in their titles. We moved down here to Texas from the north, and since then, I have looked forward to the fall. I miss the beautiful fall colors! Because of this, I especially enjoy sprinkling the few autumnal items I own around the house – reminding me that even without the beautiful yellow, orange, and red leaves, fall is here! Now Turner Classic Movies is getting in on the “Autumn’s Here” bandwagon. (These movies with the word “autumn” in them are followed by several good-for-Halloween black and white movies.)

Also, good news for those of you who enjoy Eddie Muller’s Noir Alley on the Turner Classic Movies channel… He’s back! There’s always a void when he’s not around…
