Jane K. Cleland Is Giving Away a FREE Vintage Pucci Purse!

I always think that it is generous when famous, established authors run contests. And, I’m always happy to tell you about some of these contest. Here is the latest contest that is being held by a famous, established author:

Jane K. Cleland is running a contest to coincide with the release of her newest mystery in the Josie Prescott Antiques Mystery Series. Deadly Threads, the sixth Josie Prescott mystery, will be released in just a few days – April 12, 2011.

Since Deadly Threads is a mystery about “A tale of vintage clothing, a cat who fetches, and betrayal.” (I borrowed that quote from Cleland’s website), what better prize than a vintage Pucci purse?!? The contest runs until May 31, but you know what they say about the early bird and putting off until tomorrow…

The capital & largest city is Columbia.
State motto is “While I breathe, I hope” (“Dum Spiro Spero”)
State flower is the Yellow Jessamine.
State bird is the Carolina Wren.
Origin of the South Carolina’s Name: In honor of England’s Charles I.
State nickname is Palmetto State. (This is because the American fort on Sullivan Island’s walls were made out of Palmetto logs, which helped to protect the fort when the British cannonballs ricocheted off of the spongy Palmetto logs.)
