I am trying to go through some of the questions you all have sent me either by comments posted on the blog, or by letters. Here is another question from a Cozy Mystery site reader.
Julie asks:
“Have you heard of a cozy series, featuring a man who collects toy cars, Dinky toys? He has a couple of friends who help in his sleuthing. I read the books years ago, but can’t remember the author. The books are set in England.”
If you think you might know the author or the series, please post a comment.
Thank you!
PS>>> I just looked up Dinky Toys and found that they are little, miniature die-cast cars which were made by the British Meccano Ltd. company.
Emma says
I think that is Neville Steed’s series of Peter Marklin mysteries. I loved them and just recently caught up with them again.

Thank you so much, Emma, for telling us about Neville Steed’s Peter Marklin Mystery Series. I hope this is the author Julie is looking for.
Susan says
I don’t know the book, but ‘Dinky Toys’ were similar to Matchbox cars. Slightly larger, I think.
Now, highly sought after, and can be very expensive. 🙂

Susan, when I look through old family albums and see things like… my older brother in a Roy Rogers’ chap and vest set, or my sister’s old Barbie doll, I think about what would-a, could-a been!
Sandy says
Recently, been reading Charles Todd. I do love Agatha Raisin –MC Beaton.

Sandy, thanks for telling us about Charles Todd and M. C. Beaton. If you enjoy Beaton’s Agatha Raisin series, you will probably really like her Hamish Macbeth Mystery Series.
