Did you see that Netflix is making the Thursday Murder Club into a movie? Casting is FANTASTIC!!!
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Jackie – no I hadn’t heard that! But wow, what a cast!
Susy S says
Booked on Murder by Allison Brook is scheduled for release on August 20.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Susy, thanks – I’ve added this to the list!

I just adore the Meg Langslow mysteries! They are so fun and always involve her many quirky family members and some type of animal/bird. In this series the Chief of Police always expects her help, as opposed to the many cozies that rely on a cantankerous relationship.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Sue, that’s always a bit refreshing, though it’s also a bit more common in these extremely long series… it gets harder and harder for a detective to ignore the advice of someone who has cleared more murders than they have, ‘amateur’ or not!
Janice G says
Thanks for the list Dana. I know of several others coming out in August: A Dark and Stormy Knit by Peggy Ehrhart
Trouble is Burning by Vicki Delany
Booked on Murder by Allison Brook
A Poisonous Palate by Lucy Burdette
Too much time on my hands during retirement to check out coming books!
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Janice, thanks – I’ve added these to the upcoming books list and their respective pages!
Tee Nelson says

I really appreciate these lists each month!

Barb, wow, great – I’ve added these to the list as well, thanks!
MJ says
I enjoy books by Lena Gregory. Why won’t she release in ‘book form’ the books from her Coffee & Cream mystery series?
Unfortunately, when authors won’t release their stories in book form, they really limit their reading audience. I assume they don’t care. 🙁
I see many authors self-publish to get their stories in book form and not just on kindle. I read somewhere (I believe from PEW research) that only 33% of readers read books on kindle.
My library has released similar data for patrons’ reading preferences.
They also will order any self-published book, if requested.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
MJ, I can only speak for myself, of course – personally I use an e-reader now, since my eyes are not what they once were and getting most books in large print is some combination of expensive, difficult, and impossible. It’s also generally a lot cheaper to buy a Kindle title than a paperback, though this of course varies on a case-by-case basis.
That said, I am fortunate enough to have a very “tech-savvy” family, so I’m sure that definitely colors my opinion.
