August 2026! Can you believe we’ve already hit the half way mark for 2026?! I can’t!<\/p>\n

Seeing that this is a blog for Cozy Mystery lovers, let me start by saying that on Tuesday, August 25 and Wednesday, August 26 the Turner Classic Movies channel will be featuring four Nancy Drew mystery movies staring Bonita Granville.
\nNancy Drew: Detective, Nancy Drew… Reporter, Nancy Drew… Trouble Shooter, and Nancy Drew and the Hidden Staircase. I have seen various other Nancy Drew shows\/movies – but none of them seemed as close to the novels than these, and Bonita Granville IS (well, almost!) Nancy Drew. So, if you’re a fan of the old Nancy Drew mystery books, you might want to watch these movies. (They are all from the late 1930s, so don’t expect any fancy computer-generated things.)<\/p>\n

Also, I have seen several renditions of Louisa May Alcott’s Little Women novel, and I think this is by far the best. I know it’s not a mystery, but if you’re a fan of this novel, be sure to see the 1933 Little Women movie on Saturday, August 22.<\/p>\n
