I’m sure most of you have heard the expression “Christmas in July” more than once! Well, this month, I think it might me “Halloween in July” on the Turner Classic Movies channel! (And I love it!!) As some of you who have been with me since 2006 (when I started the Cozy-Mystery.com site) know, I love to watch the old black and white Bela Lugosi, Peter Cushing, Christopher Lee, etc. movies during October. Lucky for me, October is less than nine months away – since my You Tube television DVR-ing device only store my recorded movies for nine months. This month, I’m not only setting up my recording to include mystery\/crime movies, but I’m also including the old super natural Halloween type of movies.<\/p>\n

I didn’t include my Halloween-type movies on this list which is devoted to the Turner Classic Movies channel October-must-watch (-again!) movies, but if you’re at all interested, you should check out the schedule for Thursday – July 23, 2026. I don’t exactly know when this fascination with old, black and white Halloween-type movies started (which no one in my family shares with me), but I am guilty of enjoying these movies over and over again!<\/p>\n
