There will be two new Cozy Mystery Series starting in July 2018 by site authors!<\/p>\n

<\/a>First, V. M. Burns<\/a><\/strong> will be releasing Travellin’ Shoes<\/a><\/em>, the first in her RJ Franklin Mystery Series<\/strong>. Detective RJ Franklin Jr. is on leave recovering from a car accident from his normal position in St. Joseph, Indiana, when the death of a local choir director in a house fire calls him back to active duty. Choir director or not, the victim had a questionable reputation – his main job was as an accountant, and some clients thought he might be stealing from them, while rumors around the community indicate he was also something of a ladies’ man. The series will also include soul food recipes. V.M. Burns also writes the Mystery Bookshop Mystery Series<\/strong>, starring a book store owner and Cozy mystery author, and the Dog Club Mystery Series<\/strong>, starring a divorced CPA and member of a local dog club.<\/p>\n

<\/a>The other new series will be Lee Hollis<\/a><\/strong>‘s Desert Flowers Mystery Series<\/strong>, with first entry Poppy Harmon Investigates<\/em><\/a>. Poppy Harmon is a retiree widow who suddenly finds herself penniless. With few marketable skills, Poppy decides to try to cash in on her enthusiasm for true crime television to open a private detective agency. Business isn’t going well, but she manages to land a job to recover stolen jewelry, only to stumble upon the dead body of her client’s rival. Hollis also writes the Hailey Powell Food & Cocktail Mystery Series, which stars a newspaper manager and cooking column writer.<\/p>\n
