I don’t know where the time goes! I have been meaning to write an entry telling you about the following Cozy Mystery news tidbits, but for some reason, I keep getting side-tracked! So, I’m going to hurry up and tell you about these good-to-hear pieces of Cozy Mystery news. (I’m not going to alphabetize the authors’ name – this time I’m going to write my entry the way my mind works >>> \u00a0tangent upon\u00a0tangent!)<\/p>\n

<\/a>\"\"Here’s some terrific hot-weather news! Lucy Burdette<\/strong><\/a> (aka Roberta Isleib<\/strong>) is going to be writing at least two more Key West Food Critic mysteries<\/strong>! Hayley Snow will be critiquing food down in Key West, with a side of solving crimes. I told you this was terrific news – regardless of the weather!<\/p>\n

<\/a>\"\"I’m going to follow the news about hot-weather<\/em> places\/events by telling you that\u00a0after Vickie Fee<\/strong><\/a>‘s Fourth of July Cozy is published (One Fete in the Grave<\/em><\/a>), there will be a fourth Li & Di in Dixie mystery<\/strong> in this series that features Liv McKay, a crime-solving party planner in Dixie, Tennessee.<\/p>\n

<\/a>\"\"Staying with the hot-weather theme, I want to be sure you all know that Ellen Byron<\/strong><\/em><\/a> won the Lefty Award’s Best Humorous Mystery Novel<\/strong> for Body on the Bayou<\/em><\/a>, the second in her Cajun Country Mystery Series<\/strong>. While I’m telling you about Ellen Byron, don’t let me forget that her third book in the series is a Christmas-themed Cozy Cajun (A Cajun Christmas Killing<\/a><\/em>).<\/p>\n

Which brings me to the other 2017 Lefty Award Winners<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

Catriona McPherson<\/a><\/strong> won the Lefty Award for the Best Historical Mystery Novel – Dandy Gilver and the Reek of Red Herrings<\/a>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Alexia Gordon<\/strong>\u00a0won the Lefty Award for the Best Debut Mystery Novel – Murder in G Major<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n

Louise Penny<\/strong><\/a> won the Lefty Award for the Best Mystery Novel –\u00a0A Great Reckoning<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n

<\/a>\"\"And, here’s some more great news: Nancy Coco<\/strong><\/a> (aka Nancy J. Parr<\/strong>a\u00a0& Nell Hampton<\/strong>) will be releasing Oh, Fudge!<\/em><\/a> in August of this year, which those of you who have visited my Soon to be Released Mysteries page<\/a> already know. However, the really great news is that there will be at least two more Cozies in her Candy-Coated Mystery Series<\/strong> after this sixth one is released!<\/p>\n

<\/a>\"\"Now here’s some great news for Cozy Mystery readers who enjoy crafting! Mollie Cozy Bryan<\/a><\/strong> will be releasing her third book (Macram\u00e9 Murder<\/em><\/a>) which will be followed by a fourth book in her Cora Crafts Mystery Series<\/strong>. This fourth Cozy will be about a retreat for the mothers of children who have just returned back to school after spending their summers at home.<\/p>\n

<\/a>\"\"For those of us who are looking forward to Cynthia Rigg<\/a>s<\/strong>‘ 13th book in her Vineyard Mystery Series<\/strong> (Trumpet of Death<\/em><\/a>), you’ll be happy to know\u00a0that Victoria Trumbull will not be slowing down her crime-solving. Yes, this senior sleuth will be back in a 14th book!<\/p>\n

<\/a>\"\"Tonya Kappes<\/strong><\/a>, <\/strong>author of the Ghostly Southern Mystery Series<\/strong> as well as several other Cozy Mystery series, will be writing a new series called the Southern Baking Mystery Series<\/strong>. The starring sleuth will be a pastry chef who goes back home to make the wedding cake for her best friend. Oh, oh, that may mean that the wedding doesn’t go quite as expected!<\/p>\n

Carole Bugg\u00e9<\/a><\/strong>, the author of the Claire Rawlings Mystery Series<\/strong> has just signed a contract to start a new mystery series. She will be writing a series that focuses on a Jane Austen society that makes its home in a small, Cozy British village. The first book is slated to be called Pride and Prejudice and Poison<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Yow! That’s a whole lot of Cozy Mystery news!<\/p>\n
