I&#8217;ve already got a series of posts on these as a whole &gt;&gt;&gt; but I&#8217;ve also been thinking lately how different the setting can make a series seem and how it might be nice to be able to help find similar novels based in this time period.<\/p>\n<p>To help make that easier\u00a0I&#8217;ve decided to begin making more focused themes for the site so people can find similar novels by setting more easily. This time we&#8217;ll be starting with the 1920s!<\/p>\n<p>A period often\u00a0called the &#8220;<strong>Roaring Twenties<\/strong>&#8221; in the United States, the 1920s are often characterized by wild times, prohibition, and flappers, but it was also a time for social change&gt;&gt;&gt;\u00a0women&#8217;s liberation made significant progress in particular, with women getting the right to vote in both the United States and Great Britain during the 1920s.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve included some examples below &#8211; but if you&#8217;ve got any other examples of Cozy Mystery authors who have a series\u00a0set in the 1920s, please be sure to send in a comment so I can include them in the list!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cozy Mysteries set in the 1920s:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/Suzanne-Arruda.html\">Suzanne Arruda<\/a>: Jade del Cameron<\/strong> Mystery Series &#8211; Jade is an adventurer in Africa.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/S.-H.-Baker.html\">S.H. Baker<\/a><\/strong>: the <strong>Dassas Cormier Mystery Series<\/strong> takes place in Louisiana during the 1920s<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/George-Baxt.html\">George Baxt<\/a>: Celebrity Sleuths Mystery Series<\/strong> &#8211; Not all of the books in this series take place during the 1920s, however several of them do.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/K.-K.-Beck.html\">K.K. Beck<\/a><\/strong>: The <strong>Iris Cooper &amp; Jack Clancy Mystery Series <\/strong>is set during the late 1920s, so of course, it features a\u00a0flapper.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/Simon-Brett.html\">Simon Brett<\/a>: Blotto and Twinks Mystery Series<\/strong> &#8211; The sleuths in this series are a British brother and sister team.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/Frances-Brody.html\">Frances Brody<\/a><\/strong>:\u00a0<strong>Kate Shackleton Mystery Series<\/strong> \u2013 Kate is a WWI widow in a British small milling village during the 1920s.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/maia-chance.html\">Maia Chance<\/a><\/strong>: <strong>Discreet Retrieval Agency\u00a0Mystery\u00a0Series &#8211; <\/strong>Lola Woodby is a 1920s society matron and widow.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/Jill-Churchill.html\">Jill Churchill<\/a>: Grace and Favor Mystery Series <\/strong>&#8211;\u00a0Brother\/sister sleuthing duo Lily and Robert Brewster start sleuthing after they lose all of their money in upstate New York.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Ellen-Mansoor-Collier\/e\/B009ACIJ5C\/ref=sr_ntt_srch_lnk_2?qid=1452474863&amp;sr=1-2&amp;tag=httpwwwmarkes-20\">Ellen Collier<\/a>: Jazz Age Mystery Series<\/strong> &#8211; Jazz Cross is a society reporter.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/Jeanne-M.-Dams.html\">Jeanne M. Dams<\/a><\/strong>: The <strong>Hilda Johansson Mystery Series <\/strong>takes place in the USA, during the early 1920s. Hilda is\u00a0a Swedish\u00a0immigrant housemaid in South Bend, Indiana.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/Alice-Duncan.html\">Alice Duncan<\/a>: Daisy Gumm Majesty Mystery Series<\/strong> &#8211; Daisy is a s\u00e9ance and tarot psychic in California.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/Alice-Duncan.html\">Alice Duncan<\/a>: Mercy Alcutt Mystery Series<\/strong> &#8211; Mercy is the owner of a rooming house in Hollywood.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/Carola-Dunn.html\">Carola Dunn<\/a><\/strong>: The <strong>Daisy Dalrymple Mystery Series <\/strong>is set in 1920s England.
