Susan Wittig Albert<\/a>: The Cottage Tales of Beatrix Potter<\/strong> take place in England during the early 1900s, with Beatrix Potter and her menagerie of animals. The Darling Dahlias Mystery Series<\/strong> takes place in Depression era Alabama.<\/p>\n

Bruce Alexander<\/a> (aka Bruce Cook): The Sir John Fielding Mystery Series <\/strong>takes place in England during the 18th century and revolves around a blind judge.<\/p>\n

Tasha Alexander<\/a>: Writes the Lady Emily Mystery Series<\/strong> which is set in Victorian England.<\/p>\n

Conrad Allen<\/a> (aka Edward Marston & Keith Miles): The Dillman Mystery Series <\/strong>takes place on the high seas during the early 1900s and has, as its sleuths, a husband and wife team who keep their marriage a secret to better enable them to blend in with the other passengers of the ship.<\/p>\n

Tess Arlen<\/a>: The\u00a0Lady Montfort Mystery Series<\/strong> takes place in Edwardian England.<\/p>\n

Maureen Ash<\/a>: The\u00a0Templar Knight Mystery Series<\/strong>\u00a0with Bascot de Marin returning to England after being wounded and enslaved in the Crusades.<\/p>\n

S. H. Baker<\/a>: the Dassas Cormier Mystery Series<\/strong> takes place in Louisiana during the 1920s…<\/p>\n

Mignon F. Ballard<\/a>: Miss Dimple Mystery Series <\/strong>features an elementary grade school teacher in Georgia, during WW II.<\/p>\n

Aileen G. Baron<\/a>: The Lily Sampson Mystery Series <\/strong>features an archaeology graduate student in the early to mid 1900s.<\/p>\n

Stephanie Barron<\/a> (aka Francine Mathews): The Jane Austen Mystery Series <\/strong>is set in England during the early 1800s, and of course, it features Jane Austen as the sleuth.<\/p>\n

Bernard Bastable (aka Robert Barnard<\/a>): The Amadeus Mozart Mystery Series <\/strong>is set in England during the 1820s, and\u00a0not in the second part of the 1700s as one might expect!<\/p>\n

George Baxt<\/a>: The Celebrity Murder Series<\/strong>: With such celebrities as Alfred Hitchcock, Greta Garbo, Marlene Dietrich, Mae West, Bette Davis… when else\u00a0could this series take place\u00a0but during Hollywood’s heyday… 1920s until the mid 20th century.<\/p>\n

Simon Beaufort<\/a>: This is the husband and wife writing duo comprised of\u00a0Beau Riffengburgh and Susanna Gregory. They write the\u00a0Geoffrey Mappestone Mystery Series<\/strong>\u00a0which is set during the 1100s in Great Britain.<\/p>\n

Carrie Bebris<\/a>: The Mr. & Mrs. Darcy Mystery Series<\/strong>, which features Elizabeth Bennet and her husband Mr. Darcy, is set in England during the early 1800s.\u00a0The series starts\u00a0right where Pride and Prejudice finishes… as Elizabeth marries the dashing Mr. Darcy.<\/p>\n

K. K. Beck<\/a>: The Iris Cooper & Jack Clancy Mystery Series <\/strong>is set during the late 1920s, so of course, it features a\u00a0flapper.<\/p>\n

Rhys Bowen<\/a>: The Molly Murphy Mystery Series <\/strong>features an Irish immigrant in America during the very early 1900s. Bowen just began the Lady Georgiana Mystery Series <\/strong>which is set during the early 1930s in England, and features Lady Georgiana, the 34th in line for the throne.<\/p>\n

Emily Brightwell<\/a>: The Mrs. Jeffries Mystery Series <\/strong>is set in London during the mid to late 1800s and features a housekeeper (Mrs. Jeffries) who helps Inspector Witherspoon solve mysteries.<\/p>\n

Frances Brody<\/a>:\u00a0Kate Shackleton Mystery Series<\/strong> – Kate is a WWI widow in a British small milling village in the 1920s.<\/p>\n

Kate Bryan<\/a>: The\u00a0Maggie Maguire Mystery Series<\/strong>\u00a0takes place during the 1870s and features both Maggie and her pick-pocket cousin Grady as the sleuths.<\/p>\n

Fiona Buckley<\/a>: The Ursula Blanchard Mystery Series <\/strong>features a Lady-in-Waiting in Queen Elizabeth I’s court.<\/p>\n
