D.E. Ireland<\/strong><\/a>: Eliza Doolittle & Henry Higgins Mystery Series, based on the George Bernard Shaw Pygmalion characters.<\/p>\n P. D. James<\/a><\/strong>: Very British… Adam Dalgliesh, the Scotland Yard poet, and Cornelia Gray, the heir to\u00a0a detective agency.<\/p>\n Morag Joss<\/a><\/strong>:\u00a0Sara Selkirk Mystery Series – Sara is a world renown cellist.<\/p>\n Julie Kaewert<\/a><\/strong>:\u00a0Her Booklovers’ series is set in London.<\/p>\n Diana Killian<\/a><\/strong>: Although her sleuth is from the USA, she goes to England to fulfill her passion for the English romantic poets.<\/p>\n Laurie R. King<\/a><\/strong>:\u00a0 The Mary Russell Mystery Series features Mary, prot\u00e9g\u00e9e of Sherlock Holmes.<\/p>\n Peter King<\/a><\/strong>: A gourmet detective series and a series that features Jack London.<\/p>\n Kate Kingsbury<\/a><\/strong>: One of her series takes place during WW II and the other during the early 1900s.<\/p>\n Janet Laurence<\/a><\/strong>:\u00a0She has two series to pick from, one features a 1700s painter and the other series’ sleuth is a caterer.<\/p>\n John le Carr\u00e9<\/a><\/strong>: He pens the\u00a0George Smiley series, as well as many stand-alones.<\/p>\n Margaret Leek<\/a><\/strong> (aka Sara Woods, Mary Challis, & Anne Burton): Stephen Marryat is a barrister.<\/p>\n Gillian Linscott<\/a><\/strong>:\u00a0Her Nell Bray series features a suffragette, and her other series has an ex-cop.<\/p>\n Catherine Lloyd<\/a><\/strong>: The Kurland St. Mary Mystery Series stars the daughter of a vicar in a\u00a0small English town in the 1810s.<\/p>\n Marianne Macdonald<\/a><\/strong>: Her Dido Hoare Mystery Series used to be called the Antiquanarian Book Mystery Series.<\/p>\n Susan Elia MacNeal<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0writes the\u00a0Maggie Hope Mystery Series. Although Maggie is from the USA, the series takes place in London during the 1940s.<\/p>\n Ngaio Marsh<\/a><\/strong>: Her Detective Alleyn series is a long time favorite of cozy readers.<\/p>\n Edward Marston<\/a><\/strong>: Several British (as well as non-British) series to choose from.<\/p>\n Sarah J.
